Above ground at the Serapeum, explore the rise of the god Serapis and what it reveals about Alexandria’s identity. The two sites are just 600 meters apart, a 7-minute walk, making for a smooth and immersive experience.

Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa
Exploration of the underground burial complex and its unique Greco-Egyptian fusion.
Entry fees: 200 EGP approx. 5 USD paid by card only not cash allowed.
Serapeum of Alexandria
Including Pompey’s Pillar and explanation of the Serapis triad and religious transformation.
Entry fees: 200 EGP approx. 5 USD aid by card only not cash allowed.
Optional Seafood Lunch (local restaurant)
Relaxed stop to enjoy Alexandria’s coastal cuisine.
A standard meal per person is 500 EGP approx. 10 USD cash and card payment available. The restaurant is 18 minutes drive- 5km away from The Serapeum we can take a taxi or Uber cost is around 80 EGP 2 USD.
Ending Point
Same as meeting point or any preferred location in Alexandria.

Tour Important Information
• This tour involves walking and stairs (especially at the Catacombs), so comfortable shoes are recommended.
• The Catacombs include narrow passages and spiral staircases, which may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
• Alexandria weather can be warm and humid—please bring water, sunscreen, and a hat if needed.
• Entry tickets, transportation, and meals are not included in the tour price.
• Seafood lunch is optional—please let me know in advance if you would like to include it or if you have any dietary preferences.
• The tour is flexible and can be adjusted based on your interests and pace.

These events follow a yearly schedule, which may affect tour availability or timing.
