I’m Sahlie, a professional tour guide and tour operator specializing in the stunning Simien Mountains National Park, as well as the Danakil Depression, Omo Valley, Lalibela, Bale Mountains, and Awash National Park. As the founder of Discover Simien Tours, I am dedicated to creating enriching travel experiences that not only showcase the natural beauty of these regions but also empower local communities.

Born in the village of Argin, located in the heart of the Simien Mountains, I now reside in Addis Ababa, where I organize and lead tours for travelers throughout Ethiopia.

I hold a diploma in Tour Guiding from Debark TVT Vocational School and have furthered my education in Tour Operation Supervision at Lion Ethiopia Tourism College in Addis Ababa, as well as studying Geography at Gondar University. With extensive training in Ethiopian history and ecology, I offer personalized, high-quality experiences tailored to your interests.
