Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa

Arrive at Bole International Airport and be greeted by your guide and driver. Transfer to your hotel for check-in. Embark on a city tour of Addis Ababa, including a visit to the panoramic viewpoint at Entoto Mountain, Merkato (Africa’s largest market of its kind), and the National Museum, home to the famous Lucy skeleton. Overnight in Addis Ababa

Day 2: Addis Ababa to Arba Minch

Depart south from Addis via the Great Rift Valley, stopping at Lake Ziway to admire the abundant birdlife. Continue driving to Arba Minch via Sodo. Overnight in Arba Minch.

Day 3: Lake Chamo and Dorze Village

In the morning, take a boat trip on Lake Chamo to visit the crocodile market and hippo pods. In the afternoon, ascend into the Gughe Mountains to visit the Dorze people, known for their tall beehive-like houses and fine cotton weaving. After the visit, return to Arba Minch for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Arba Minch to Jinka

Drive to Jinka via Weyto and Key Afar, stopping at local markets along the way. Overnight in Jinka.

Day 5: Mago National Park and Mursi Tribe

After breakfast, drive to Mago National Park to visit the Mursi tribe, known for their distinctive lip and earlobe plates. Return to Jinka to visit the South Omo Museum & Research Center for more information about the tribes. Overnight in Jinka.

Day 6: Jinka to Turmi

Drive to Turmi, home of the Hamer people. Stop in Dimeka for the local market, one of the most colorful in the South Omo. Overnight in Turmi. In the evening, witness the traditional night dancing of the Hamer people, known as Evangadi.

Day 7: Omorate and Dasennech Tribe

In the morning, drive to Omorate and cross the Omo River by local boat to visit the Dasennech tribe. Return to Turmi and, if available, witness the traditional Hamer wedding ceremony, Jumping of the Bulls. Overnight in Turmi.

Day 8: Karo Tribe

Take a day trip to visit the Karo tribe, known for their elaborate decorations. Visit the villages of Murulle, Kolcho, and Dus on the shores of the Omo River. Overnight in Turmi.

Day 9: Turmi to Arba Minch

Depart from Turmi to Arba Minch, via Erbore in the Weyto valley and Konso. Stop in Konso to visit the Konso people, known for their totems and intricate agricultural terracing techniques. Overnight in Arba Minch

Day 10: Return to Addis Ababa

Depart from Arba Minch to Addis Ababa. In the evening, enjoy a farewell party with a cultural dinner, traditional buffet, and local drinks. After the farewell party, transfer to the airport for your international departure.
