This is a full day tour of Addis Ababa that includes a visit to the National Museum, where Lucy (the earliest human ancestor, according to paleontologists) is housed. The tour also includes a visit to St. George's Church, where the last Ethiopian emperor, Haile Selassie I was crowned. Our visit also includes 'Mercato' the largest open-air market in Africa. Later you will have a food tour of Addis Ababa in one of the busiest streets of the city to taste Traditional Ethiopian food and coffee.

Meeting Point
At your hotel or at the airport
- If you are arriving in Addis Ababa for the first time, I will be waiting for you at the airport outside the terminal next to where the hotel taxis are parked as we are not allowed to enter the terminal for security reasons. But if you have a hotel booked already, I can meet you through the hotel attendant inside the terminal. Alternately, we can meet at the hotel lobby once you are already in Addis Ababa on your own and used shuttle service from the hotel of your own.
Visit to 'Entoto Hills' Overlooking the City
8 O’clock
At 8 O’clock I will be waiting for you at the airport, or your hotel lobby (if you are already in Addis Ababa and checked-in) and we will drive to ‘Entoto’ Mountain to have a view of Addis Ababa and to visit the nearby former residence of Emperor Menilik II before he founded Addis Ababa as his capital.
Visit to the National Museum
Drive back to the city and visit the National Museum:
You will spend one hour and half visiting the National Museum that houses ‘Lucy’ the remains of early human ancestor, believed to 3.18 million years old according to Experts. The museum also has a collection of historical and ethnographic collections of Ethiopia, spanning over millennia.
Taste of Ethiopian Traditional Dish
You will visit one of the restaurants in Addis Ababa for the taste of Ethiopian National Dish. ‘Injera’ is a staple food which is spongy flat bread made from gluten free grain called ‘teff’ that is used with a variety of stews and sauces to prepare Ethiopian national dish.
Visit to St. George's Church
St. George's Church is where the Last Ethiopian Emperor, Haile Selassie I was coronated and spend the time visiting the church and its museum that has a variety of historical and liturgical collections, most of which were used before the current church was built at the start if the twentieth century.
Visit to 'Mercato' the largest Open-Air Market in Africa
We drive to 'Mercato', the largest open-air market in Africa with the size of a small town that is busy from Monday to Saturday where the residents of Addis Ababa visit for shopping and spend 1:30 Hours at the market.
