Come trekking with me through the forgotten valleys, lonely ridges, and spectacular wild vistas of Algeti National Park, just a short drive from Tbilisi. Meeting Point
Your hotel in Tbilisi
- I'll pick you up at your hotel in Tbilisi, or at some nearby convenient point; we'll agree on the details.
Manglisi
Just a little over an hour from Tbilisi, we reach Manglisi, the trailhead town for much of Algeti National Park and site of an impressive medieval church (we can visit it before starting the hike). We will either start hiking directly from here, or depending on conditions, can drive further into the park to a different trailhead.
Picnic lunch on the ridge
I will provide a picnic lunch (but feel free to contribute!) We will hike to a scenic place in the Algeti National Park and partake of light refreshments including pastries and seasonal fruit. Please ensure to carry enough water for yourself!
Return to Manglisi
After the loop hike, we will return to Manglisi town and begin to return to Tbilisi. Optionally, we can stop at a restaurant on the way back to the city (not included in tour price).

Tour Important Information
* While this tour is intended for active people, it's possible to make a shorter, easier routes for those who want to take it easy and enjoy a day in nature. Just contact me with your requirements and interests and we will work everything out. A normal route might cover 12-13km, but for active hikers in good weather, up to 20km is possible. A short route will be less than 5km.
* Good weather is not guaranteed! Be prepared for all kinds of conditions and dress appropriately. I will be in contact in the days before the trip with up-to-date information.
* Please be sure to carry enough water for yourself (minimum 2 liters). I am there to guide you on the walk safely but you are also expected to be responsible for your own safety and medical needs.
This tour is available in all seasons and all weather. Even winter can be a very good season for hiking in Georgia. However, I cannot guarantee comfortable conditions or good views on any hiking trip. Please bear than in mind while booking. I will keep an eye on the weather and inform you if you need to be prepared for wet/cold conditions.
