Gombori Pass

Gombori Pass is one of the most scenic mountain routes in Georgia, connecting Tbilisi to the Kakheti region. Winding through the Gombori Range, the road offers spectacular panoramic views of lush forests, rolling hills and the vast Alazani Valley below. At around 1,600 meters above sea level, it’s a refreshing drive with frequent viewpoints where travelers can stop to enjoy the silence, fresh mountain air and dramatic landscapes. The pass is especially beautiful in spring and autumn, when nature is at its most vibrant.

Giant Plane Tree

Giant Plane Tree of Telavi is one of the oldest and most iconic natural landmarks in Georgia, estimated to be over 900 years old. Located in the heart of Telavi, it is a symbol of the region’s history and resilience, offering a peaceful atmosphere and a great photo stop during the tour.

Alaverdi Monastery

Alaverdi Monastery is one of Georgia’s most important religious and architectural monuments, located in the heart of Kakheti. Founded in the 6th century and later rebuilt in the 11th century, it is home to one of the tallest and most impressive medieval cathedrals in the country. The complex is surrounded by vineyards and open landscapes, reflecting its deep connection to Georgian winemaking traditions. Twins Wine House in Napareuli

Twins Wine House in Napareuli is a unique winery and hotel resort in the heart of Kakheti wine region. It is especially famous for its traditional Qvevri wine cellar, where wine is still produced using ancient Georgian methods preserved for centuries. The estate also includes a wine museum, vineyards and a comfortable resort offering scenic views of the Caucasus foothills. Guests can enjoy guided tours, wine tastings of local varieties such as Saperavi and Rkatsiteli and relax in a peaceful countryside atmosphere that blends history, culture and hospitality.

Shumi Winery in Kakheti is one of Georgia’s well-known wine estates, located near Telavi and surrounded by beautiful vineyards. It features a wine museum, showcasing ancient artifacts and tools related to Georgian viticulture, as well as guided tours and tasting sessions. Visitors can enjoy a variety of local wines such as Saperavi and Rkatsiteli while learning about the country’s 8,000-year-old winemaking heritage. Shumi Winery Kakheti – Lunch & Free Time (Optional)

This experience includes free time for relaxation, photo stops and walking around the winery grounds. It is a great opportunity to taste local flavors and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Kakheti.


Please note: Lunch and wine tasting at Shumi Winery are optional and not included in the tour price. Guests pay directly on site if they choose to participate.
