This tour is aimed at Oktoberfest beginners and people who also want to learn something about the history of the festival. As a native of Munich, I also pass on the tips and tricks you should know at the Oktoberfest.
Show traditional rides, such as the Teufelsrad (Devil's Wheel), Krinoline or Tobogan and give recommendations on food you should try and beer tents that are worth a visit.
So it's a two-hour introduction, after which everyone can have their own positive experience of Oktoberfest.

Schaustellerstraße
Schaustellerstraße is one of the most vibrant and lively areas of Oktoberfest, running parallel to the main beer tent avenue. This bustling street is home to the festival’s carnival attractions, including high-adrenaline rides, classic carousels, haunted houses, and skill games. It’s where families, thrill-seekers, and nostalgia lovers come together to experience the fairground side of Oktoberfest. Traditional food stands, sweets vendors, and souvenir shops line the street, adding to the festive atmosphere. Whether you’re looking for a heart-pounding roller coaster ride or a cozy round of bumper cars, Schaustellerstraße is a must-visit part of the Wiesn experience.
Wirtsbudenstraße
Wirtsbudenstraße is the heart of Oktoberfest, running through the middle of the festival grounds and lined with the famous beer tents. This lively street is where visitors experience the true essence of Bavarian hospitality, with massive beer halls serving traditional Oktoberfest beer, hearty Bavarian dishes, and live music. Each tent has its own unique atmosphere, from rowdy party vibes to more traditional and cozy settings. Outside the tents, smaller stalls offer classic Wiesn snacks like bratwurst, pretzels, and roasted almonds. Whether you're here for a Maß of beer, a plate of Schweinshaxe, or simply to soak in the festive spirit, Wirtsbudenstraße is the place to be at Oktoberfest.

Hello, I'm Philipp,
A native of Munich with a lifelong connection to this incredible city. As a passionate tour guide and content creator, I specialize in bringing Munich's unique stories and lesser-known gems to life.
Growing up here, I’ve cultivated not only an insider’s knowledge of the city’s famous landmarks but also the hidden corners that most visitors miss. Munich’s history spans from its medieval foundations to its complex role in the rise of National Socialism, and I strive to present these chapters with the depth and context they deserve.
The city is also a culinary treasure trove, from hearty Bavarian classics to vibrant street food markets that showcase local flavors. And with a rich calendar of seasonal events, like the world-famous Oktoberfest and magical Christmas markets, there’s always something to celebrate.
Beyond the main attractions, I enjoy introducing visitors to lesser-known treasures like the Auer Dult, a traditional fair, and Starkbierfest, Munich's “strong beer” festival rooted in Bavarian monastic tradition. Through my videos and tours, I provide a local’s perspective that’s rich with personal anecdotes and connections to the city’s past and present. Whether you’re looking for iconic sights, authentic eats, or a deep dive into Munich’s vibrant, authentic spots, I’m here to show you a side of Munich that you’ll never forget.
