Frans Seda Airport, Maumere - East Flores
Upon arrival at Frans Seda Airport in Maumere - Flores island, our local guide and driver will pick you up and take you directly to Waturaka, a small village setting by the government of Ende Regency and Swiss-based NGO Swisscontact as a CBT (Community Based Tourism) village. This village is located in Moni precisely under the slopes of Mount Kelimutu. On the way we will have a short stop at Koka to see a very beautiful beach view with a wide expanse of white sand and crystal clear blue sea water. Dinner and stay overnight at one of the Home-stays member of the CBT in Waturaka.
Wake up at 04:15 AM, having coffee/ tea only, while breakfast boxes will be served in Kelimutu. At 04.45 AM we leave for Kelimutu. First we ride the vehicle for 30 minutes until the parking lot then walk uphill and climb 127 steps for another 30 minutes until we arrive at the highest peak of Mount Kelimutu. From the top you can freely witness the spectacular view of the three Crater Lakes with water of different colors, each at the start of the eruption was "Red, Blue and White". Walked back down to the parking lot for breakfast. From here, you may choose one activity only between: trekking to Pemo village and to the Kelimutu – Moni road to return to our vehicle and drive back to CBT Waturaka village—this is a morning exercise that refreshes our body and soul with stunning views of the Indian Ocean and passing through villages and farmers' fields with varied vegetation, OR return to Waturaka village to take part in Agrotourism activities in farmers' fields where you will be guided by an experienced farmer to follow the process of planting or harvesting celery, tomatoes, chilies, eggplants, garlic, shallots, mustard greens, cauliflower and many other fruits and vegetables, and the produce will be brought back to the village to be cooked for our lunch—if you like, you can join in cooking in the kitchen with the mother who prepares our lunch. Before leaving for Ende city, we will walk to Mutu Lo'o to see the kitchen of the Kelimutu Volcano with its fuzzy and boiling water, then continue to the Murukeba waterfall. On the way down to Ende we will have a quick visit to Wologai village to see a group of traditional houses with tall thatched roofing. Dinner and stay overnight at Hotel Grand Wisata in Ende.
This morning we depart to Bajawa, but before leaving town we visit to Ende traditional market, then to the Museum Bung Karno, a former residence of Indonesia's First President, Ir. Soekarno during his exile in Ende by the Dutch colonialists in 1934 - 1938. There are many historical items belonging to Bung Karno which are collected in this place. Continue to Penggajawa, a beach which since the tectonic earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale and the 1992 tsunami has become famous and crowded with visitors. Every morning along this beach is always filled with piles of blue pebble stones that emerge from the seabed by the waves. Lunch at Penggajawa. Our journey continues to Wogo village to see traditional Bajawa houses. Arrive in Bajawa, check in hotel room. The rest of the afternoon we will visit So'a hot springs, if you like, you can soak in the So'a hot springs. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Roo in Bajawa.
At 04:45 AM we leave for Wolobobo, a very strategic hill-spot to watch the sunrise with very magnific natural views around such as Mount Inerie (2245 m), Ebulobo Volcano (2124 m), Mount Inelika, Riung plains on the north coast and the city of Bajawa. Return to Hotel Roo for breakfast, then depart to the traditional villages of Luba and Bena which are like “Living Museums” with various miniature houses of Ngadhu, Bhaga, Peo, and other meaningful and sacred symbols. Return to Bajawa and continue towards Aimere to see the process of distilling alcoholic beverages from lontar palm fruit juice. Continue to Ruteng city for lunch at the Spring Hill Restaurant. After lunch our journey continues again towards the village of Cara in Cancar to see the "Lingko" rice fields which are very unique because they are shaped like Spider-webs. Continue west to Labuan Bajo town on the western tip of Flores island. Dinner and stay at Puri Sari Beach Hotel in Labuan Bajo.
After breakfast transfer to Komodo International Airport for your flight to next destination.
Service ends!

Louise Figo’s--El Real football ancestors had in fact christened it in Portuguese “Cabo da Flora (Cape of Flowers)” for it was blessed with beauty, and it still is! From end to end 370 kilometers length you will find the constantly changing scenery; barren and grey hills, ravines flanking the rivers, seascape interrupted by single island or cluster of islets, lush and green forest, undulating range of mountains and majestic-cone.
Homo FLORENSIESIS. In September 2003, at Liang Bua Cave in western Flores, Paleoanthropologists discovered small skeletons that they described as a previously unknown hominin species, Homo Floresiensis. These are informally named HOBBITS and appear to have stood about 1 m (3.3 ft) tall. The most complete individual is dated as 18,000 years old.

“My experience with Go with Guide did not go well. I would like a refund.”
I was on vacation in Indonesia and not able to keep my original zoom appointment at my hotel as my diving boat schedule was changed. I emailed Gerard the day before when I found out but he was on a 5 day tour on the other side of the island and could not get his email. He was not happy with me as he had to leave his tour to do the zoom which I had asked to reschedule. It just didn't work out.

(1 reviews)Dear Julie, Thank you for your review, even though you did not experience the Flores-Indonesia Tribal Hand Woven Fabrics online tour. Not even a Zoom meeting, no direct communication via email or telephone. Even though your review is excellent with five stars, but I am sorry, that does not make me happy in the slightest. You know why, I feel wronged by your non-committal attitude. I have to waste extra time to make a 5 day overland tour package, also have to leave my guests who were trekking in the interior for 2 days and have to pay a village guide to accompany them because I have to return to Maumere for a Zoom meeting with you. I was really disappointed. I had gone back and forth to the village walking up and down the mountain for almost 8 hours hoping to have a discussion and then face to face tour with you, but the result was in vain. Without any further response, suddenly you give me a five-star review and ask for a refund. And you also did not say cancel beforehand. Therefore, with all due respect and regret, I must convey that I will not refund you. Even if it counts I still lose, but never mind... I am sorry! Thank you. Warm regards, Gerard
