Borobudur Temple
The 8th century Buddhist Temple, the biggest Buddhist Temple in the world. The temple consists of nine stacked platforms, six square and three circular topped by a central dome. All six square platforms are stories meant to enlight the pilgrims. There are 2672 panels. Having mastered all the stories, pilgrims will achieve Nirvana symbolized by three circular platforms. The top of the temple is the
symbol of highest enlightment.

Shiva Grha is the original name of the Prambanan Temple. Prambanan is the 9th Century Hindu temple. Prambanan consists of 240 temples. The function of the temple is for praying rather than learning. Thus there are 3 highest Hindu Gods in the main chambers of the temples. There are also moral teachings carved on the wall of the temples. Those are from the epic Ramayana and Krisnayana. This temple is also enriched by a lot of beautiful reliefs. Prambanan is the most beautiful Hindu temple in Indonesia.
