The Sea of Galilee is one of the most charming areas in the Holy Land. It is located between the Golan Heights in the east, and Galilee in the west. Next to being a wonderful recreation area, the lake was the center of many historical events and its shores are stretched next to the The Way of the Sea, that connects Egypt to Mesopotamia. Our tour will focus mainly on the Christian sites, where Jesus spent most of His Ministry, but also will touch many other topics: nature, culture and history.

It is quite flexible. You may decide to meet at your hotel or any meeting point within 40 km from Nazareth such as Haifa, Tiberias, or Nazareth itself or be collected from a cruise ship in Haifa Port
Our day starts by a short ascent to Mt. of Beatitudes. It is where Jesus set the foundation of our earthly life, discussing various behaviors and attitudes. The mountain ramping up on the north western side of the lake offers a gorgeous view of the lake and its surroundings that no one shall miss. A short visit to the octagonal chapel with its structure and symbols will rewind the first few verses of the Blessings of Jesus.
Next, we will descend down to the shores of a lush tiny valley called Tabgha. There, Jesus has invited His disciples and performed various miracles, among them feeding 5,000 people. There He invited Peter to be His disciple at the beginning and there, He offered him again to “tend His sheep” after the resurrection. We will visit the Fish and Loaves Church as well as the Peter’s Primacy Church and may have the chance to dip our feet into the lakes’ waters.
Capernaum, also called The Town of Jesus, is the center of Jesus' Ministry. A 1st century border Jewish town that reflects the life of such a community and a central station to distribute Jesus' messages to the larger region. We will visit the synagogue and Peter’s house and remind ourselves of key events that took place there.
Magdala is another Jewish town that was recently excavated with a first century synagogue. It is the alleged town of the famous Mary Magdalene that Jesus healed from demons. A tour around the synagogue, the residential neighborhoods as well as the newly built church is unforgettable.
The area offers a few local cuisine restaurants offering local fish (St. Peter's fish and other species) and grill next to various types of salads. Alternatives can be a visiting a Falafel and Shawarma kiosk or having a lunch break in a café' type restaurant.
Conclude your day on a Boat Ride, sailing on a wooden vessel on the waters of the lake, that offers fabulous scenery of the lake's shores and reminds of Jesus’ super natural power miracles, among them calming the storms and walking on its waters. Time of the ride will be set upon booking and may affect the order of the sites visits.
And if times permits, we may head to Yarenit to visit the Jordan River and have the opportunity of baptism in its holy waters.
Can be the same as the Meeting Point or any other within 40 km from Nazareth
