Jerusalem- tour of the Old City and other highlights

I will pick you up at your hotel (anywhere in Israel), bring you to a wonderful overlook of the Temple Mount, see sights on the Mt. of Olives, then continue on foot from the Jaffa Gate. We will walk through Mt.Zion, the Armenian, Jewish, Moslem, and Christian Quarters, learning about the incredible history of this city that is holy to three of the great religions. At the end of the walking tour we will drive around the modern area of the city to see its highlights before returning to your hotel.

Mt. of Olives Overlook
The perfect way to start a tour of the city- incredible view of the Temple Mount with the Dome of the Rock and the Old City and City of David spread out before you. We'll drive down to the Garden of Gethsemane and see the beautiful Church of the Agony.
Jaffa Gate
From here we will walk- David's Citadel, Mt. Zion (Room of the Last Supper), Armenian Quarter, Jewish Quarter, the Western Wall, Moslem Quarter, Via Dolorosa, Christian Quarter, Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Jaffa Gate. Lunch on the way.
Jaffa Gate-Jerusalem
We're back in the car and we'll drive around the modern city of Jerusalem to see some of the iconic sites- the King David Hotel, the beautiful YMCA building, the unique Shrine of the Book, the Israel Museum, and the Knesset- Israel's parliament. Return to your hotel.
End of the tour at your hotel.

Tour Important Information
This tour can be modified in any way you want - you may ask to spend more time in one of the quarters, or visit specific attractions like the City of David.
Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes, hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. If it's during the winter it can be cold and rainy in Jerusalem. Make sure to dress modestly as we will be visiting a number of holy sites that require this of visitors. This means that shoulders are covered and pants/skirts are covering your knees (men and women).
Price does not include entrance fees to attractions/sites, guide's lunch.

I can guide small groups, up to 6, with my comfortable Toyota Land Cruiser, anywhere in Israel. I have a specialization in Christianity and I am very familiar with the Negev Desert. I can also accompany you to Petra in Jordan. If your group is larger than 6 I can arrange transportation for that size of the group.
