Cruise: After exiting the ship, please go to the Independent Tour Operator Area where your representative will be awaiting your arrival.
Scenic routes with stops
Departing from Montego Bay, the journey to Bob Marley’s Nine Mile village begins through a series of scenic and culturally rich locations along Jamaica’s north coast. We’ll pass the historic town of Falmouth, known for its well-preserved Georgian architecture. A brief stop is made at Rio Bueno for you to stop and take photos with the backdrop of the Caribbean Sea. You’ll travel through Discovery Bay, where Christopher Columbus is said to have first landed. The route then takes us inland through lush hills and tropical farmlands, with vibrant roadside communities. Along the way is the lively town of Brown’s Town, with a bustling market and a window into authentic Jamaican life. You’ll have the opportunity to interact with friendly locals along the way, from roadside vendors to farmers tending their crops. We’ll pause at small fruit stands or local stops where you can sample freshly picked fruits that are in season. Stops will be made at all the points mentioned.
Arrive at Bob's Birth House
Upon arrival at Bob Marley’s birth house in Nine Mile, you’ll immediately feel the spiritual and cultural energy that surrounds this iconic location. The site is peaceful yet vibrant, echoing the energy of the man whose music changed the world. As you step through the gates, you’ll be greeted by the aroma of burning incense, the steady rhythm of reggae music, and welcoming smiles from local guides, many of whom are Rastafarians with deep knowledge of Bob’s life and legacy.
The property includes his modest childhood home, preserved with personal belongings and family memorabilia, allowing you to see where he grew up and first found his musical voice. You’ll also explore Mt. Zion Rock, where Bob would sit to meditate and write lyrics, and visit the mausoleum where he and his half-brother are laid to rest. The experience is deeply personal and reflective, offering fans a chance to connect with Bob Marley’s roots on a spiritual and emotional level, surrounded by the lush natural vegetation of the Jamaican countryside. A must do for reggae fans once visiting the island!

Guests have the option to enjoy a traditional Jamaican lunch on-site at the Nine Mile property, where meals are freshly prepared and served in a relaxed, music-filled atmosphere. This dining experience is optional and available at an additional cost. For those who prefer, lunch can also be had off-site at a nearby local eatery along the return route. After soaking in the sights and spirit of Bob Marley’s birthplace, we depart Nine Mile and begin our scenic journey back through the countryside, retracing our route toward your original pick-up location.
