The museum was first built in 1909 and moved to its current location in 2005. According to the British art magazine Art News, it ranked 5th in the world for museum visitors in 2022. The museum has over 200,000 artifacts, and about 10,000 are on display. Among them, let’s explore several national treasures.

We’ll watch a gold crown from the Silla dynasty, a stone pagoda and Goryeo celadons from the Goryeo dynasty, and white porcelains from the Joseon dynasty.

The highlight of the museum, we’ll spend a few minutes meditating in front of two Buddhist statues.

• Bags will be checked at the security checkpoint, and no food is allowed except for drinks with lids.
• After the tour, your guide will take you to the subway station and show you where to go next.
