Guryongpo Japanese House Street (Filming location of 'When the Camellia Blooms')

If you go to Guryongpo, you will see Japanese houses where Japanese people lived over 100 years ago, which still remain intact. The alleys of Jangandong in Guryongpo, which were Japanese residences during the Japanese colonial period, still exude a Japanese atmosphere, like a scene from a movie. This place is also famous place for filming location of 'When the Camellia Blooms' There is a park made by the Japanese on the mountain behind the houses. If you climb the steep stone steps, you will come across the park, and inside you will see the Yongwangdang, where they prayed for the safety of sailors.

Space Walk

“Space Walk” has a dual meaning of leaving a spaceship and floating through space, or walking through space. The form of the work, which includes looping, expresses the movement of space or space, and the act of walking through the high, curved form of the work connects to the experience of floating through space or space.

Jukdo Sea Food Market

Pohang Jukdo Market is the largest traditional market on the east coast of Gyeongbuk with approximately 1,500 stores.

The somewhat chaotic appearance of the old market that extended to the port has been neatly renovated as the area has been reorganized.

As a result, the local charm of the existing Jukdo Market has been maintained, but improvements have been made to the facilities and environment, giving it a more advanced appearance.

With fresh seafood bustling among the lively appearances of the merchants, this place is called a food paradise with as many as 200 raw fish restaurants.

You can taste Pohang’s unique gochujang mulhoe without broth, and the taste of freshly sliced fresh live fish mixed with fresh vegetables and sesame oil gochujang is truly exquisite.

Jeonbok porridge with plump whole abalone is also famous nationwide, and in winter, you can taste Pohang’s specialty, gwamegi(dried fish).

This place is Filming locaion of popular K-drama 'Seaside Village Chachacha'

Igaridat Anchor Observatory

This observatory, which is shaped like an anchor anchoring a ship near the beautiful Igari Beach and the blue pine trees, is 10m high and 102m long, and offers a panoramic view of the beautiful Igari Beach and the refreshing sea of Pohang.

It is also a hot place visited by many tourists as it was the main filming location for the popular drama 'My Perfect Secretary' aired on SBS.

Yeongildae Beach & observatory

Yeongildae is a popular seaside destination where visitors can enjoy the scenic view of the East Sea.

One of the most famous landmarks here is the Yeongildae Pavilion, a traditional Korean pavilion built over the sea. It is known as the first traditional-style pavilion constructed on the ocean in Korea, making it a unique and popular photo spot for visitors.

There are many beautiful cafés in Pohang where you can enjoy stunning ocean views. You can choose one of them to visit during the trip.

“Brilliant assistance in many ways”

I and two others were attending a World Athletics competition in Daegu. Over a period of three days, Peter was able to meet any request we came up with - to visit stadia, to find a place to shop, restaurants to eat, to explore a half-marathon course. Peter is affable, enjoyable to spend time with, resourceful, never fatigued, and was the perfect companion. Without his driving, together with deep knowledge of the city, we would never have achieved what we did. And, thanks for him, we still found time for some sightseeing, including a cable car ride for a high view of the city and surrounding mountains. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have encountered him.
