Moshe nahon synagogue
[Optional] Tucked away on a quiet dead-end street of Rue des Synagogues in the Beni Idir quarter of Tangier’s medina, the Moshe Nahon Synagogue dates back to 1876. Founded by Moïse Jacob Nahon, a respected educator and scholar from one of Tangier’s prominent Jewish families, this historic synagogue ceased regular activity in the mid-20th century. After years of neglect, it was lovingly restored in 1994 and now serves as a museum, preserving the rich Jewish heritage of the city.
