Leaving Muscat in the morning, then continue towards to the famous Nakhal fortress.
Nakhal Fort
Nakhal fortress lies at the foothills of the mountains in a nice small village which grows extensive date palm plantations. This magnificent 350 years old fortress rises out of the mountain rock, towering high above the ancient village as if still warning would-be attackers of its ominous strength It has witnessed many battles and is packed full of hidden escape routes and secret passages.
Wadi Bani Awf
In the morning we'll leave Muscat towards Wadi Bani Awf. The road leads us through the Wadi, we'll pass by impressive Wadi Canyons (snake canyon) and several small villages and the most beautiful village is Balad Sayt surrounded by mountains from all directions, its located in the east Al Hajar mountains.
Bilad Sayt
The route connects several villages, including the scenic Bilad Sayt village, is a stunning village in picturesque surroundings that should be part of anyone’s check-list of places to visit when coming to Oman then afternoon time drive back to Muscat.
