Okazaki Castle is the birthplace of Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu. With a popular drama depicting his life being on the air, the Castle and its museum has been renovated and new souvenir shops and cafes are now open.  Miso is a paste, mainly used for Miso soup, but as a condiment, we use it for various dishes. We visit Miso factory and see how traditional Miso is being made. They make miso candy and miso sweets. I think this is the only place you can eat Miso ice cream in the world!  I will take you to a nice restaurant with a reasonable price. What is worth coming to a local place is the things can be as half as the price in Nagoya. Prices vary in Japan.
After lunch, I will take you to my house to experience tea ceremony. My neighbor teaches Japanese calligraphy, and a friend of mind is an expert on Kimono dressing, If you are interested, I can include them in the tour.

We visit some highlights of Nagoya before we visit the Ghibli park so that we can see a little bit of the city too.

If you want to have one day to relax during your trip, this tour is for you! You can escape from the big city to the country side in only 40 mins by our local train.
