Paris Tour Guides

Ewan G.

I am a British artist and filmmaker based in Paris, where I have spent the past six years exploring the city's relationship with the avant-garde. My background is in the history and philosophy of art, with a focus on cinema and digital media—research I pursued at the University of Kent and during a residency at Le Fresnoy - Studio national des arts contemporains. For me, Paris is more than a backdrop; it is a subject of constant study. When I am not filming or editing, I spend my time researching the hidden narratives of the city, from the haunts of the New Wave filmmakers to the radical ideas of the Situationists. My walks are informal but deeply informed conversations. We move away from the standard landmarks to look at how the city has been shaped by the thinkers, writers, and filmmakers who saw Paris as a living text. I don't just share history; I enjoy discussing how the city’s architecture and cultural heritage influence our perspective today. Whether we are exploring iconic film locations through a director's eye or tracing the "layers" of a neighborhood's memory, I offer a perspective that combines historical context with a filmmaker’s eye for detail. I look forward to sharing a different, deeper side of Paris with you.

Growing up in Florence and later living, studying, and working across multiple countries as an artist completely transformed my palate and culinary culture. Curiosity, travel, and a deep passion for history have always fueled my spirit. Having lived in Paris for over 30 years—and being the proud father of a true "parisienne"—my bond with my adopted city runs deep. I have been living and working in Paris for 15+ years. I love my city and love sharing its vibrant art scene with my guests. Originally, I studied Art and Philosophy at Concordia University, Montreal and received a Master 2 / Diplôme des Beaux-Arts de l'ESADHaR, Le Havre, France. As well as being a tour guide I am a practicing artist. I spent the first years of my life in Paris going to the museum every weekend to sketch the sculptures and paintings. I have over 10 years of experience working in the arts with artists, and galleries, as an artist and curator. I started out running an artist-run center and love making the experience of interacting with art accessible and fun. As a member of the art community, I am more than excited to share with you an insider's view of the Paris vibrant art scene. Let me show you how this city continues to inspire me every day. Don't hesitate to send me a message and tell me what kinda art you like! So, I can tailor the visit to your interest!

I have traveled a lot and lived in different countries. I know what it is like to be a local and what it is like to be a tourist. I have a degree in sociology, so I know how to collect and analyze interesting facts. I also have a musical education, which gave me a strong background in the field of art. I really enjoy communicating with people and showing them the places that once made a strong impression on me. Tourists often say that my tours are something more than just sightseeing. They feel more like an interesting and engaging walk with an old friend who shares as much fascinating information as possible.

Bonjour, food enthusiasts! There's no better way to explore a country and its culture than through its food, don't you agree? With a deep passion for cooking and gastronomy, I have been crafting unique private food tours for the past 17 years. My tours are not just about tasting exquisite French cuisine; they are about experiencing an authentic slice of French life. I specialize in guiding food lovers through the vibrant markets and high-quality specialty shops in Paris. I have decided to also expand in the French Basque Country and create more food memories exploring Biarritz, Bayonne or Saint Jean de Luz. I now share my time between Paris & the South West of France. For me, traveling is all about exchanging stories, discovering new people, and immersing oneself in local tales. Through my food tours, I aim to share the essence of the French "art de vivre" with every visitor.
