COTOPAXI NATIONAL PARK A DAY TOUR WITH LICENSED GUIDE

This day you will discover a small part of Ecuador and the famous Avenue of the Volcanoes, created by Alexander Von Humboldt, his visit was in 1802. In 1 hour and 30 minutes we will arrive at the South entrance control of the Park where we will present the Passports and entry permits, then we will go through the volcanic museum and then to the Limpiopungo lagoon from where we will have a closer view of the volcano, we will head up to the parking lot at 4550m. from were we take the bikes to raid

We’ll cross from the Southern to the Northern Hemisphere, descending from 3000m to 1300m in the Andes to reach Mindo. First, we’ll visit Alambi to see hummingbirds, tanagers, and toucans. Then, we’ll take the tarabita (cable car) to explore waterfalls and the butterfly garden. Afterward, we’ll head back to Mindo for a chocolate tour, and if you're hungry, lunch is available in town.

Cubilche: Volcano viewpoint between lakes and volcanoes

Cubilche, a old volcano is nestled between higher volcanoes and surrounded by big lakes in Imbabura, the province of the big lakes of Ecuador. Trekking up to the summit we will find several small lakes almost on the top of the mountain! They filled up the crater of Cubilche! Enjoy this unique mountain scenery during a moderate trek! From Cubilche you may see the glacier capped Cayambe as well as two of the big lakes of Imbabura province! Enjoy as well local food, the equator and handicrafts!

One hour out of Quito there is a zone where cloud forest show us a big variety of wild life specially humming birds. There are some places where people installed some feeders and planted flowers where birds look for food. People who likes orchids could not find a better place to see many of these plants. There is a center to look at hundreds of butterflies. Sports are also another part of these tour, Zip line or Canopy could be an option for people who wants to do it.

It is a majestic and mysterious volcano in the Eastern mountain range. It is the nucleus of this protected area in whose interior there are moors and eastern Andean forests. To acclimatize our body before climbing mountains like Cotopaxi or Chimborazo, this is the best option, 8 hours of walking back and forth from the crater of the Pichincha volcano. We can start our walk very early even before the cable car "TELEFERICO " opens its doors since we take the old route to go up by vehicle. one hours driving and enjoying amazing views of the city. On the way back we can go down by cable car where we will take the vehicle to return to the hotel.
