Hello! I’m Ahmed, a passionate tour guide based in Kyoto, Japan. Originally born in Kuwait, I moved back to Palestine where I earned my Medical Degree (MD) in 2008. In 2015, I was fortunate to receive a Japanese government scholarship to pursue further studies at Kyoto University, one of Japan’s top institutions. Living in Kyoto opened my eyes to the rich history and stunning scenery of this ancient city, which served as Japan’s capital for over a thousand years. It ignited my passion for culture, history, and food, leading me to embark on a rewarding career as a tour guide. I have traveled extensively across Europe and Asia, and I love sharing my knowledge of Japanese culture with others. I can provide historical insights at every stop, recommend the best local cuisine, and create personalized itineraries, including day trips from Tokyo to Kyoto. I’m fluent in English and Arabic, and I thrive on connecting with people from diverse backgrounds. Whether you’re interested in exploring temples, experiencing traditional cuisine, or simply enjoying the beauty of Kyoto, I’m here to make your visit unforgettable. Your safety and comfort are my top priorities. I measure my temperature before our tours and am happy to wear a mask if it makes you feel more comfortable. While I'm not a driver, I will accompany you in your vehicle or arrange for a separate car and driver if needed. Book with confidence and get ready to explore Kyoto with me! I can’t wait to show you why I believe this city is the most beautiful in Japan. Ahmed, MD, PhD, MBA

Welcome to Türkiye! I am a professional tourist guide based in Istanbul, passionate about sharing the rich history, culture, and daily life of my hometown and country. Whether you are interested in history, culture, art, archaeology, food, or local traditions, I would be delighted to create a meaningful experience tailored to your interests. After graduating as valedictorian from the Department of Econometrics at Uludağ University and gaining several years of professional experience in the finance and foreign trade sectors in Türkiye, I moved to the United States. While pursuing a master’s degree in Economics at George Washington University, I was awarded two prestigious postgraduate scholarships by the University of Nottingham. I subsequently moved to the United Kingdom and earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Economics from the University of Nottingham. Upon returning to Istanbul, I began a master’s degree in Econometrics at Marmara University (thesis in progress) with the aim of pursuing a PhD in Econometrics. It was also during this period that I took my first steps toward a professional career in tourism. During nearly four years in Washington, D.C., I served as a volunteer translator for Turkish delegations and international students hosted by non-profit organizations supported by the U.S. government. I also volunteered as a cultural guide for Turkish delegations and international students during cultural tours that included visits to the Smithsonian Institution, the world’s largest museum complex. These experiences inspired me to present Istanbul—my hometown—and Türkiye to international visitors in an accurate and meaningful way. After returning to Türkiye, I completed the Tourist Guidance Program at Cappadocia University on a full scholarship. I also hold an Associate Degree in Cultural Heritage and Tourism and have been studying Art History at Istanbul Medeniyet University. I look forward to welcoming you to Istanbul and helping you discover Türkiye.

Hi! I'm Yoshiharu. Please call me Yoshi. Yoshi means "good" in Japanese! I'm a good man (^^);;;. I was born in Kyoto but I lived there 3 months. Then my family moved to Osaka and I grew up in Osaka. So I am almost Osakan. When I was young, my hobby was traveling by bicycle. I went cycling around most part of Japan except Shikoku. In my family rule, Shikoku is in bad direction because my grand father died just after his Shikoku pilgrimage. So I want to have a cycling tour not only in Kyoto (coming soon!) but also all part of Japan someday. I am interested in Japanese history. I am a National Certificated Guide. And I have "Kyoto Tourism Culture Certification 3rd grade", "Osaka Expert Certification 3rd grade", "Nara Concierge 2nd grade" and "Karuizawa Web test 3rd grade". So I have expert knowledge about Kyoto, Osaka, Nara and Karuizawa and common knowledge about Kobe. Besides I like gadgets, so I can guide you DenDen town in Osaka. When you have a chance to visit Kyoto or Osaka or other city in this area, please contact me anytime and join my tour! I'll be looking forward to seeing you, spending wonderful time with you.

Olá! Hi! I’m Izzy! Thank you for stopping by! Hopefully Porto is next on your list! Originally from Lisbon, I moved to Porto in 1998 to study Biology. I even tried life in a research lab, but quickly realised that working with microscopes 24/7 meant missing something essential: people. And I’m definitely a people person. So I followed another passion - Fashion - which took me to Paris for a year to study Image, Communication and Protocol in Politics & Business. While working in this field, I was invited to organise and accompany private tours around Portugal. And just like that, I found my true calling! Although I divide my time between Porto and Lisbon, Porto is the city I chose as home (for more than half my life now). Its character, history, food, wine and beautifully complicated soul make it impossible not to fall in love. This is why my tours are not about memorised dates or scripted speeches. They are storytelling experiences: with a deep knowledge of Portuguese history and culture (and a family that lived on both sides of the dictatorship) I bring history to life through real stories, hidden layers, and the kind of insights you won’t find in guidebooks. You won’t hear historical myths repeated just because they sound good, or be dragged into tourist traps disguised as “must-sees”. And you definitely won’t get a superficial version of Porto. If you enjoy discovering the heart of a place - not just ticking boxes - then we’ll get along perfectly. And if you're comparing prices, I’ll leave you with Warren Buffett’s timeless wisdom: “Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.” Hope to meet you soon in Porto! Izzy
