Kozo Y.
Hello! I'm Kozo. I'm currently living in Chiba, which is one of the biggest cities in Japan and located in the suburbs of Tokyo. So, I can guide you to the sightseeing spots in Tokyo and the suburbs, which include Asakusa, Nikko, Kamakura, Hakone, Mt. Fuji, and more. In those places, you can experience traditional Japanese culture and beautiful sceneries. I'm originally from Kobe, one of the major cities in the western part of Japan. So, if my schedule permits, I may also guide you to the attractive spots in Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, and Kobe. I took a Master's degree in chemical engineering at the University of Tokyo and an MBA degree at the University of Massachusetts. I am a professional engineer in industrial engineering, an industrial safety consultant, a registered management consultant, and a licensed guide-interpreter. I have been working for a Japanese chemical company for many years. So, if you are interested not only in Japanese culture but also in technologies and businesses in Japan, I may be a good company. :) As a part of my job as an engineer, I often travel outside Japan. The countries that I visited last year are Singapore, China, the United States, Mexico, Germany, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia. Among them, Singapore is my frequent destination. Also, in the past, I visited Spain, Italy, England, France, Hungary, India, Canada, Korea, Taiwan, etc. So, if you are from one of those countries, you may ask me how I felt when I visited your motherland. :) Okay, thank you for reading my self-introduction to the end. I hope I have a chance with you!

Hello everyone, it's Tad! I was born in Osaka, raised up in Kobe, and came back to Osaka for my university and work. I studied clinical psychology in my university. I specialize in children who have developmental disorder such as Down's syndrome, autism, ADHD and I care for the left-behind children whose parents can’t look after them due to their work or private reasons. Hi, I'm Takao. I like walking with my friends in the mountains, along rivers and beaches, and visiting historical places and museums. Usually, after enjoying these places, we take a dip in hot springs and drink beer. As a guide, however, I'll take up places easy to walk around. I assume not many people from abroad are prepared for sweating activities. If you like, though, I can modify my plan, connecting with a short hiking, hot bath and a drinking place.

I have multiple jobs right now. One is a mediator and the other is an English teacher. After working for some life insurance company for about 40 years, I got a job for some Family Court as a mediator and I enjoy helping those who get in trouble. I also teach English for beginners, especially for TOEIC TEST. I love music. When I was in university student, I was a conductor for a male chorus. Since then I have been really into Opera. I don't mean to be pompous, but actually, I'm good at entertaining any guests at any occasion, as I had worked as head of sales, human resources, and branch manager. Almost a decade ago I had lived in Kyoto for 5 years and I have been enthralied by charm and attraction of Kyoto, such as history, culture, cuisine and beauty:as in cherry blossom in Spring, colorful leaves in Autumn and GION festival and so on. I'd like to share my experiences with everyone and guide all of you to Kyoto, Osaka, and Kobe.

Hi, I’m Kaz, a tour guide from Kyoto. I was born and raised here, studied in Osaka, and became fluent in English after studying abroad in Canada. Living in Canada taught me how fun and meaningful it is to discover different cultures and ways of thinking. Kyoto is my hometown, and of course it’s beautiful—but I think it becomes even more special when we notice the differences between cultures. Seeing things from different perspectives always makes me feel amazed and curious again. On my tours, I love sharing not just Kyoto’s famous spots, but also local stories, daily life, and the unique mindset of Japanese people. I really enjoy talking and learning from my guests too. Let’s explore Kyoto together and find the beauty in our differences!

I was born and raised in Tokyo. I have had opportunities to communicate with foreign people since I was a junior high school student, because I joined American summer camp held in Japan. Many children gathered from all over the world, and we enjoyed various activities in English. Through this camp , I found I love to communicate with foreign people. After graduating from the university, I worked for apparel brand company as a buyer, researching the latest trend, shops and culture in Tokyo. So I know how attractive this area is! I have mainly organized customized tours of Tokyo, so can tailor the tour according your preferences. I look forward to meeting you!

Hello everyone, welcome to Japan! I am Mari, a tour guide in KYOTO with over 8 years of experience. I love discovering hidden gems in Japan, teaching foreign visitors calligraphy, and interacting with people from all around the world. +++As a guide+++ I have conducted many tours to major sightseeing sites such as the UNESCO World Heritage temples and castles. I am also happy to show my favorite places and other locations off the beaten path, like where you can see the local craftsmen. Thanks to my French husband, who is also a guide, I have learned a great deal about the points foreign tourists could contemplate the marvels of Japanese culture and developed my storytelling skills. I like to show my guests everything, with special focus on small details not written in guidebooks, and like to utilize anecdotes to help others understand Japanese culture. In addition to my guiding services, I can also provide concierge services such as booking high-quality restaurants, special shows or activities, tea ceremonies, etc. +++As a calligraphy teacher+++ I consider that calligraphy is not about writing with the complex Japanese "kanji" alphabet. Calligraphy is an art form which enables you to express your thoughts and relax your mood through your brush strokes and writing style. My workshops are a tailor-made experience. I also offer lessons for small children and provide an interactive experience for them. Best of all, workshops can be arranged to fit your schedule! Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions about my lessons. ** For booking: Because of my family issues, I do not open my calendar that much. However, depending on the day, I am available. Please feel free to ask me anytime! I am looking forward to discovering Japanese culture with you. :)
