Karien D.
My name is Karien, a writer and tour guide from Singapore. I love stories, either written or spoken, and bring guests to popular hotspots or off the beaten track hidden gems – as my tours are private and curated the choice is yours! Singapore is a multicultural melting pot and its history and culture delves a lot deeper than most visitors (or even residents) are aware of. Singapore’s vibrant population from different background suits me perfectly, as I myself come from multiple cultures. Born from Dutch parents I have lived in many countries since birth, including Malaysia, Indonesia, the Middle East, and Europe. I have called Singapore home since 2012. My tours are themed and show you the history and development of our small island in a fun and interactive way. Tours itineraries are flexible, half or full day, by public transport or private transport – all depending on your wishes and budget. My expertise lies in Malay and colonial history, nature, the development of Singapore and its different cultures, and above all: spices!

Kenneth Y.
As a Licensed Tourist Guide in Singapore with over 8 years of experience, I have had the privilege of sharing the stories, heritage, and culture that shape our island nation. Before guiding, I spent 15 years in the education sector, where I served as an Institution Archivist. In that role, I researched and preserved the history of the Institution and highlighted its deep connections to Singapore’s own journey. As a 5th-generation Singaporean, my family’s roots stretch back almost to the founding of modern Singapore. Today, I bring that heritage to life by sharing not only the history of my city-state but also my personal background as a member of the Peranakan community. Join me on a journey to uncover the vibrant stories, unique traditions, and hidden gems of Singapore — our Little Red Dot.

Hi Ann, Thanks for the review! I'm so glad you enjoyed the tour and got to see all you wanted. It was a real pleasure guiding you – your energy and openness to try new things made it really fun for me too. Some of the customized activities we did: a ride on the Singapore Flyer, a little climb up to Mount Faber Hilltop, walking along Palawan Beach in Sentosa, a car tour on the F1 circuit track, Fountain of Wealth at Suntec City, CBD area, and more. When we were at the Esplanade, Ann was so surprised to find out Yo-Yo Ma was performing that very night. The concert was sold out, but amazingly she still managed to get a ticket! She told me it was incredible – and by chance, she even spotted the President of Singapore there! Safe travels and hope your next days are just as great. Kind regards, Chua Alvin
