Arrive at Aquila after 2 hr drive from Cape Town via N1 highway.

Aquila Private Game Reserve, just two hours from Cape Town, offers an authentic Big Five safari in the scenic Karoo. Set on 10,000 hectares, it’s home to lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo, and leopards. Guests enjoy guided game drives, horseback or quad bike safaris, luxury lodges, and a relaxing spa. With stunning landscapes and strong conservation values, Aquila delivers an unforgettable African wildlife experience close to the city.

Guest choice of one activity:

Guided Game Drive (2 hrs): Explore the reserve in an open 4x4 with a ranger to spot the Big Five.

Horseback Safari (1.5 hrs): A relaxed ride through the plains with close-up wildlife encounters.

Quad Bike Safari (1.5 hrs): A thrilling off-road adventure across Karoo terrain with expert supervision.

Return to lodge, refreshments, and optional relaxation at the pool or spa before departure.

Aquila Private Game/Big 5 Safaris

After completing the two-hour afternoon activities and lunch, we depart from Aquila Game Reserve at 3:00 PM, traveling along the N1 highway back to Cape Town.

Enjoy the scenic drive through the Hex River Valley, Du Toitskloof Pass, and the vineyard landscapes of the Cape Winelands en route.

We are expected to arrive back in Cape Town at approximately 5:00 PM, concluding our memorable safari experience.
