The Essence of Florence
Our walking tour focuses on the main historical districts of the center of Florence. We start from the religious center, admiring the exterior of the Duomo complex, composed of the Cathedral with the famous Dome by Brunelleschi, the Giotto Bell-tower and the Romanesque Baptistry with the Gates of Paradise. Then we will go on towards the political area, with the Signoria palace, the Uffizi palace and the New Market. After crossing the Old Bridge, we reach the Oltrarno, seat of the Pitti Palace.
Florence-The Medici Tour: Money, Culture and Lust
Our tour focuses on the most interesting and intriguing notes of the Medici family, governors of Florence during many centuries, This dynasty was involved in finance, managing on the most powerful banks in Europe, but also responsible for sponsoring culture, making Florence an International artistic center in the Renaissance age. Business, art and not only: in our walking tours, we will talk about another topic of the Medici: the one regarding their secret lust, unexpected aspect!
LGBTQ Tour: Gays' life in Florence in Renaissance Time
Florence has a special place in the International history and development of Gays life and culture, Since the Middle Ages, though controlled by a specific Police Force, Florentine gays could even marry and legally be considered a regular couple. During our walking tour, we will see how economic and political events influenced the society tendency towards them, until the First Pride in the XVI century.
Michelangelo's David and Renaissance masters' paintings
The focus will be on the original David by Michelangelo, together with other masterpieces realised by the Florentine artist....but the Accademia Gallery also houses a remarkable collection of Renaissance painting, including some pieces by Botticelli and a section preserving some precious musical instruments which belonged to the Medici family.

“Great historical, architectural and art knowledge. ”
We had an excellent walking tour. She had a great knowledge of the city, the architecture and the museums. She gave great perspective of how to identify who made what and how facades were remodeled based on the period. Our tour ended at the Accademia. We had an easy time getting in for our time slot. Be sure to purchase your tickets separately in advance of your trip!
