Florence has a special place in the International history and development of Gays life and culture, Since the Middle Ages, though controlled by a specific Police Force, Florentine gays could even marry and legally be considered a regular couple.
During our walking tour, we will see how economic and political events influenced the society tendency towards them, until the First Pride in the XVI century.

“Great historical, architectural and art knowledge. ”
We had an excellent walking tour. She had a great knowledge of the city, the architecture and the museums. She gave great perspective of how to identify who made what and how facades were remodeled based on the period. Our tour ended at the Accademia. We had an easy time getting in for our time slot. Be sure to purchase your tickets separately in advance of your trip!
