“Great historical, architectural and art knowledge. ”
We had an excellent walking tour. She had a great knowledge of the city, the architecture and the museums. She gave great perspective of how to identify who made what and how facades were remodeled based on the period. Our tour ended at the Accademia. We had an easy time getting in for our time slot. Our walking tour focuses on the main historical districts of the center of Florence. We start from the religious center, admiring the exterior of the Duomo complex, composed of the Cathedral with the famous Dome by Brunelleschi, the Giotto Bell-tower and the Romanesque Baptistry with the Gates of Paradise. Then we will go on towards the political area, with the Signoria palace, the Uffizi palace and the New Market. After crossing the Old Bridge, we reach the Oltrarno, seat of the Pitti Palace.
