About Tour Guide Nikos C.
Hello everybody!
I am Nikos and was born and raised in the beautiful city of Thessaloniki, where I have been working as a professional licensed tourist guide ever since 2014.
I have a background in history and archaeology but I do believe that a guided tour should be more than just that. A guided tour should also be about the anecdotes, the people who live there, the stories that do not fit into history books. So, hopefully, together we are going to explore the city, learn about the sights and monuments, understand the people and feel its beating heart!
I have been working as a professional licensed tourist guide in Thessaloniki and all over Greece for a few years now, but every tour is completely different than the previous, and what makes it different is you! There is nothing like being outside, walking around with good company and showing the place you live and love, sharing to the people next to you the little secrets and unseen details that make it special. And if I can show you why this place is so special to me, then maybe it will become special to you too!
I have a few tours planned but, please, do not hesitate to ask me about a customisable tour anywhere in northern Greece or maybe even more to the south. Let me know what you are interested in and together we are going to create a tour from scratch!
I hope you give me tha chance of showing you around but, if not, then enjoy this special beautiful place, enjoy Thessaloniki, enjoy northern Greece!

Philippi and Kavala Day trip from Thessaloniki
Named after King Philip, father of Alexander the Great, Philippi was one of the most important cities of the area during Roman times. One of the greatest battles of the Roman times took place right next to it but the religious significance of the site is probably even more important than its historical importance. Visited by Apostle Paul, Philippi is the place in Europe where Christianity started, where the very first European Christians were baptised. Let's follow in the footsteps of Paul!

Meteora Day Trip from Thessaloniki
Meteora is one of the most awe-inspiring landscapes you will ever witness. Built on top of amazingly beautiful rock formations, the centuries-old monasteries with their exquisite Christian art are really something to see, making it difficult to figure out where the rock ends and the monastery begins! On this trip we are going to visit two of the monasteries and a Skete (a smaller monastery that belongs to a bigger one) followed by lunch in the nearby town of Kalambaka.

“Fun and Informative Tour!”
Our family of four (two adults and two teenagers) very much enjoyed our tour with Nikos! He was very knowledgeable and also very engaging, and made the tour interesting and fun for everyone. I especially appreciated hearing all of his background information about the region and the Macedonian royal family- information we wouldn’t t have gotten with just a self-guided visit. I’d recommend Nikos to anyone interested in visiting the site!
