I was born in the North of England but spent much of my childhood living in India and the Middle East. I moved to London for a year to study on a postgraduate course and never left - working, bringing up my children and developing my career in guiding here. Apart from a few years living in Japan and Singapore, London has been my home for 30 years. I believe there is something for everyone here in London, 2000 years of history rubbing shoulders in a contemporary city with modern architecture, fashion and art. Whatever you are interested in, whether it is royalty, castles, palaces, traditions, galleries, museums or modern culture I can tailor a tour for you. My bespoke tours include walking tours, tours by public transport ( bus, tube, boat or train), or I can organize a car with a driver or a minibus. Within London we can cover the major sites--Westminster Abbey, Royal London, Buckingham Palace, Changing of the Guard, Churchill War Rooms, St Paul's Cathedral, Tower of London or explore less well-known districts like Bermondsey, Shoreditch or Spitalfields. Hello, fancy a day out from busy Central London and enjoy cycling? Why not join me and see real parts of outer London on our bikes. I was lucky enough to grow up in a glorious area of South West London and apart from travelling to see the world I've always returned. I love meeting new people and showing them my favourite local places by what I feel is the best mode of travel. . . a bike. This historic area is set on a beautiful part of the River Thames, it has old Royal hunting grounds containing deer, world famous places like the 16th Century home of royalty Hampton Court Palace + UNESCO Kew Botanic Gardens. It is only 30-45 minutes from Central London by train or tube and a peaceful place to visit or base yourself whilst visiting London. Here's a little more information about myself. I'm a born and bred Londoner and have lived and worked within this great city for the majority of my life (the exception being a 4-year stint in Switzerland). Previously working within Royal Mail followed by the Global Foreign Exchange Markets. I am now a fully qualified London 'Cabbie', qualified taxi guide, and offer private and personal tours of London and beyond in an ICONIC London black cab (not just any London Black Cab but the new Zero Emission Capable Electric Cab), neither of which I ever thought I would be doing, but I can wholeheartedly say two of the best decisions I have possibly made in my working life. Firstly becoming a 'London Cabbie' gave me the new challenge and freedom I needed and then from there getting involved in offering tours, I honestly fell in love with my hometown again whilst doing the knowledge, and showing the sights of this fantastic city and creating wonderful memories on my tours is hard to beat. My aim is to give YOU the tour that YOU want when YOU want, always keeping in mind that it is YOUR vacation and YOUR memories, and to show you the history of London (and beyond), both the famous and lesser-known sites in a fun and relaxed manner. Please take your time looking at what is available in the tour section, but always remembering that my aim is to tailor each tour to YOUR own needs and requests. Remember it's . . . Licensed London Taxi Driver, having completed "The Knowledge of London" Qualified London Taxi Guide (accredited by the City University) I do not hold a Blue Badge so I can accompany you inside the Tower of London, St. Paul's Cathedral and Westminster Abbey but sadly I cannot guide inside these historical sites.
