Embark on this 2-days safari to Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater. Enjoy guided game drives in search of elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras and other wildlife, with a chance to spot the endangered black rhino. Stay overnight at Fanaka Lodge & Campsite on a full-board basis and explore the spectacular crater floor before returning to Moshi or Arusha.

Meeting Point

At your Hotel

- We will pick you from your Hotel, please let us know at least one day before your 2 days safari where you will be staying in Arusha/Moshi or the surrounding area. We will do our best to arrange pickup directly from your accommodation for a smooth and hassle-free start to your safari. Alternatively, the meeting point for your safari can be conveniently at Aim Mall Arusha or Shoppers Plaza Arusha. You can choose whichever location is more convenient for you. Our team will confirm the pickup location and time with you in advance.

06:30 AM

MOSHI / ARUSHA - TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

07:00 AM depart from your Hotel to Tarangire Natinal Park. Allow approximately 2–3 hours from Arusha or 4–5 hours from Moshi, depending on road conditions.

10:00 AM Wildlife Game Drive. Tarangire

Enter the park and explore its beautiful landscapes, famous baobab trees and seasonal river systems. With your experienced safari guide, look for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, antelopes and a variety of birds. Lions, leopards and cheetahs may also be seen, although sightings are not guaranteed. Enjoy a picnic lunch during your game drive before continuing your afternoon wildlife exploration.

At 16:00 PM: Drive to Fanaka Lodge

Exit the park and drive to Fanaka Lodge. Check in, relax and enjoy dinner before your overnight stay.

FANAKA LODGE – NGORONGORO CRATER – MOSHI / ARUSHA

At 07:00 AM Journey to Ngorongoro

After breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and prepare for an exciting day of wildlife viewing.

Game Drive in Ngorongoro Crater

Descend into the spectacular crater in your 4x4 safari vehicle and explore its grasslands, woodlands and wetlands. Look for lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and, with luck, the endangered black rhino. Your professional guide will share insights into the wildlife and unique volcanic landscape. Sightings depend on natural conditions.

Picnic Lunch and Afternoon Game Drive

Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated site on the crater floor, then continue exploring this remarkable wildlife sanctuary before ascending from the crater.

15:00hrs: Return Transfer

Begin your return journey to Moshi or Arusha, with drop-off at your hotel or agreed location. Arrival time depends on road conditions and your destination.

- Departure: An early start is recommended. Your exact pickup time will be confirmed before the safari.

- Travel times: Driving times are estimates and may vary due to traffic, road conditions and pickup location.

- Wildlife sightings: Animals roam freely, so sightings cannot be guaranteed. I will make every reasonable effort to locate wildlife.

- What to bring: Comfortable clothing, a light jacket, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, camera and personal medication.

- Weather: Temperatures can vary, especially around Ngorongoro Crater. Dressing in layers is recommended.

- Luggage: Please bring reasonable-sized luggage, allowing space for safari equipment.

- Meals: Inform us in advance of any food allergies, dietary restrictions or special meal requests.

- Accommodation: Overnight stay at Fanaka Lodge & Campsite on a full-board basis, subject to availability and booking confirmation. Any changes will be communicated in advance.
