DAY 1: MOROGORO – MIKUMI – HOTEL REST & MAASAI VILLAGE

Morning

Pick-up from Morogoro town or Morogoro SGR station and drive to Mikumi National Park. Enjoy scenic countryside views along the way.

Midday

Arrival in Mikumi area and transfer to your hotel/lodge. Check-in and take time to rest and relax after the journey.

Afternoon

A short tour briefing will be provided by your guide, explaining the safari program, safety guidelines, and expectations for the coming days.

Evening

Visit a nearby Maasai Village for a cultural experience. Learn about Maasai traditions, lifestyle, dances, traditional houses (bomas), and daily activities. This is a great opportunity for cultural interaction and photography.

Overnight: Lodge in Mikumi

DAY 2: MIKUMI – UDUZUNGWA MOUNTAINS – CHIZUA WATERFALL HIKE

Morning

Early breakfast at the lodge. Depart for Udzungwa Mountains National Park.

Midday

Arrival at Udzungwa and meet a park ranger. Begin the guided hike to Chizua Waterfall, walking through lush tropical rainforest rich in birdlife, butterflies, and monkeys.

Hiking Experience

The trail leads to the impressive Chizua Waterfall and natural pools. Enjoy time to rest, cool off, take photos, and enjoy the fresh mountain environment.

Afternoon

After the hike, drive back to Mikumi area.

Evening

Relax at the lodge after an active day.

Overnight: Lodge in Mikumi

DAY 3: FULL DAY GAME DRIVE – MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK

Morning

Early breakfast and depart for a full-day game drive inside Mikumi National Park with a packed lunch.

Safari Experience

Explore the wide savannah plains of Mikumi, home to:

Elephants

Giraffes

Zebras

Buffaloes

Wildebeest

Hippos and crocodiles

Many bird species

Midday

Picnic lunch at a designated picnic site inside the park.

Afternoon

Continue game drives in different areas of the park for the best wildlife viewing.

Evening

Return to the lodge before sunset.
