The Umbwe Route is the least crowded route on Kilimanjaro. That’s because it’s also the most difficult of the routes, with a constant, steep climb to the summit. It includes a rock scramble up the Barranco Wall and a nighttime summit bid. Umbwe is good for experienced trekkers who want a challenging and secluded climb. Wap Adventure offers a 6- day trek on the Umbwe route. We have a 95% summit success rate with our clients on the Umbwe route.
