- Meet your guide at the House of Wonders (Beit-al-Ajaib) in Stone Town, Zanzibar. The meeting point is located along the seafront near the Old Fort and Forodhani Gardens. Please arrive about 10 minutes before the tour starts, and look for your guide near the main entrance of the House of Wonders.

Starting at 9:00 AM: Meet your guide in front of the House of Wonders in Stone Town. Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in and meet your guide before beginning your walking tour through the historic streets of Stone Town.

Forodhani garden&Old fort

At 9:30 AM, explore the beautiful Forodhani Gardens, a lively waterfront park offering views of the Indian Ocean and a glimpse into local Zanzibari life. Continue to the historic Old Fort, one of Stone Town’s most important landmarks, where your guide will share stories about its history, architecture, and role in Zanzibar’s past.

Freddie mercury&Narrow Streets

At 10:00 AM, discover the Freddie Mercury Museum and learn about the life and Zanzibar roots of the legendary musician. Continue walking through Stone Town’s fascinating narrow streets, where you’ll admire traditional Swahili architecture, beautifully carved wooden doors, historic buildings, and lively local shops while hearing stories about the culture and history of Zanzibar.

Slave market & Darajani market

At 10:30 AM, visit the historic Slave Market site and learn about Zanzibar’s important and difficult history of the East African slave trade. Continue to Darajani Market, the heart of Stone Town’s local life, where you can experience the vibrant atmosphere, explore stalls filled with spices, fresh fruits, seafood, and local products, and discover everyday Zanzibari culture.

-Personal expenses: Drinks, souvenirs, tips, and other personal purchases are not included.

-Estimated cash to bring: We recommend bringing approximately USD 100 per person for entrance fees, lunch, and personal expenses.

-Comfortable walking shoes – you’ll be walking on narrow and sometimes uneven streets.

- Drinking water – especially because Zanzibar can be hot and humid.

- Hat or cap – useful for protection from the sun.

- Sunglasses and sunscreen – for daytime walking.

-Phone or camera – Stone Town has beautiful doors, buildings, markets, and streets for photography.

-Some Tanzanian shillings – useful for small purchases, snacks, souvenirs, or local drinks.

-Small backpack or bag – easier and more comfortable than carrying a large bag.

- Light, respectful clothing – Stone Town is a culturally conservative area, particularly around religious sites.

- Hand sanitizer/tissues – useful when visiting busy markets.

-Small umbrella or light rain jacket – helpful during the rainy season.
