Our day with Goksel was truly one of the highlights or our extensive trip around the Aegean and Black Sea regions. His knowledge of history was matched by his enthusiasm for the incredible structures we were experiencing have changed and endured for many centuries. Even more it was just fun to walk around, talk and share time with Goksel - he is a terrific guy! The visit he arrange for us at the carpet making was absolutely fascinating in bringing together history, culture, arts and tradecraft. Memories from our time at the shop will always be with us. Goksel is absolutely terrific, Hire him as your guide and I know you will be as glad you did as we are!

“Don’t see Istanbul without this guy! ”

2 days - 13 hours with My Yildiray- why do you need him? 1) we saw more in 2 days then most people see in 4. He busts through the lines and you don’t need skip the line tickets he skips them for you. 2) he carries everything you buy along the way 3) he knows where to eat, what to order and doesn’t waste your money on overpriced restaurants, 4) he is early and even phoned the hotel to ensure my Dad got back safely when he left the tour early, he walked arm and arm with my mom. To ensure she didn’t slip on the wet streets ( who does that? ) 5) he knows where to shop- doesn’t pressure you to buy and offers advice when asked,6) he listens to his customers and said numerous times that it is our vacation and he wants to make the most of it for us. So if you don’t hire him you will waste your time, money, and energy going where you shouldn’t and wasting time you don’t have. He was the best decision we made in Istanbul. Thank you for being our leader for 2 of the worst weather days in Istanbul - without you our time there wouldn’t have been as memorable. We hope to meet you again one day. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

“Instanbul with Dilek”

Dilek was great - very knowledgeable and flexible in allowing us to dictate where we wanted to go and offering suggestions. Also she made it very easy on us and met us at the port terminal and we took a tram in to city center. She was also very understanding when we went to the wrong meeting point and when I called she located us within minutes. I would without hesitation recommend Dilak as a guide if visiting Istanbul.
