Avenida de Mayo
Avenida de Mayo
The first major avenue in the city dating from the late XIXth century.
Plaza de Mayo
Heart of civil life in Buenos Aires since the XVIth century, this square is surrounded by important buildings such as Casa Rosada and the Cabildo. At its center, the Pirámide the Mayo became the gathering point for the Madres de Plaza de Mayo during the 1970's dictatorship.
Metropolitan Cathedral
Enter the main Catholic church in the city, where Pope Francis used to serve as archbishop. Visit the tomb of General San Martín, one of the great leaders of our independence wars.
Manzana de las Luces
The "block of enlightenment" originally housed a Jesuit community and is now home to one of the oldest churches in the city (San Ignacio), a historical complex and an elite high school.
Basílica and convent of Santo Domingo
Complex formed by the Santo Domingo Convent and the Nuestra Señora del Rosario Basilica, with a patio containing the great mausoleum to General Belgrano, creator of our flag.
This church shows the scars of the British invasions of 1806 and 1807, and holds some "trophies" from those battles...

Wonderful indoor market, combining food stalls with antiques, crafts, records and toys shops.

Born and raised in Buenos Aires, working as a tour guide has allowed me to rediscover this city and my love for it.
As an English-Spanish translator and constant language student (fluent in French and doing my best to learn German), I spend a good part of my life building bridges between cultures. And that is the spirit behind my tours, creating bonds between visitors and local life.
I appreciate and enjoy sharing the wide range of possibilities this city offers, from the loud crowds in a football stadium or a rock concert to quietly riding a bike or walking along the streets seeing life through a camera lens. Looking forward to sharing Buenos Aires with you!
