Shaki Waterfall
Deep in the Vorotan Gorge, Shaki Waterfall is often cited as the most beautiful in Armenia. Falling from a height of 18 meters, the water flows over a wide, semicircular basalt cliff, creating a delicate white veil against the dark volcanic rock. Legend says it was named after a beautiful girl named Shaki who threw herself from a cliff to escape an invader, her long hair turning into the cascading water.
Khndzoresk: The Living Cave City
Khndzoresk: The Living Cave City
Step back in time at Old Khndzoresk, a historical village carved into the soft volcanic rock of a steep canyon. Until the mid-20th century, thousands of people lived in these man-made caves. To reach the ancient settlement, you’ll cross the famous 160-meter-long swinging bridge, which hangs 63 meters above the canyon floor. Walking across provides a thrill and a panoramic view of the cave dwellings and the lush gorge below.
Tatev Monastery
Perched on the edge of a deep basalt plateau, the 9th-century Tatev Monastery is one of the most spiritually and architecturally significant sites in the world. It was once a premier university and a beacon of science and philosophy. To get there, you’ll ride the Wings of Tatev, the world’s longest reversible aerial tramway, soaring high above the Vorotan River Gorge with breathtaking views that stretch for miles.
Areni wine Factory
Areni is the epicenter of Armenian winemaking, famous for its indigenous Areni Noir grapes.
A visit to a local factory offers insight into both traditional and modern production methods. You’ll enjoy a tasting session featuring a variety of red and white wines, as well as unique fruit wines like pomegranate and apricot.
Ending Point
Yerevan Republic square or Your accommodation.

“Wonderful visit!”
Chris organized my trip to the Orgov telescope and his associate Kevork drove my friend and I. Sadly I was never able to meet Chris in person. It’s a shame because he was great to communicate with online. Very helpful and funny at that! Kevork was a fantastic guide and also very funny. I enjoyed the trip thoroughly. I would highly recommended this experience. I don’t think I’ve seen anything quite like it. Thank you Chris and Kevork!!

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! I am absolutely thrilled to hear that you and your friend had such a great time exploring the Orgov telescope. I was really looking forward to meeting you both in person as well, but I’m so glad we got to connect online and that I could help get everything set up for you. I will definitely pass your incredibly kind words along to Kevork—he’s a fantastic guide and a huge asset to the team, and I know he’ll be smiling from ear to ear when he hears how much you enjoyed his humor and company! The Orgov telescope is truly a unique, one-of-a-kind place, and I'm so happy we could show it to you. If your travels ever bring you or your friends back this way, please don't hesitate to reach out. We'd love to host you for another adventure! Safe travels, and thank you again from both Kevork and me! Best regards, Chris
