Halloween in Japan...?
Of course not a traditionally Japanese festival, but who cares! In the big cities they go crazy with Halloween nonetheless. Though there’s not ‘trick or treat’ element, many clubs and bars hold special Halloween nights.

Where's the party at?
During Halloween, many clubs and bars hold their own Halloween nights with a special line up, Halloween-themed drinks, and of course, over-the-top decorations. But one need not even enter a bar to enjoy the show: just walk on the street (especially the Shibuya and Shinjuku areas) and you’ll be treated to the wildest of costumes! Coming from Europe myself, I was quite surprised by the amount of work people put in their costumes. Especially Shibuya (known for the famous 'Scramble crossing') swarms with monsters, killers, escaped prisoners and what not on the 31st of October. Do you dare to join them?
