I’m so excited to have a chance to show you around my favorite spots in Kanagawa prefecture. I was born in Kanagawa. I spent my whole school life, including university, here in Kanagawa. I worked as a high school English teacher here for more than 40 years. I love Kanagawa so much. We have many interesting tourist spots, like Hakone, Kamakura, Enoshima and Yokohama. I got my tour guide license in English in 2009. I am still an English teacher. To give an interesting and impressive lesson to young high school students, I’ve learnt and gathered many kinds of information. I also have a license to teach social studies, so I have a wide range of knowledge about Japanese culture and history. I’m sure to provide you an interesting tour.

Grant A.
Important note: I am currently not able to take new customers after the end of March, 2026. My name is Grant, and I’ve spent over a decade living and exploring Japan. Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, I first came to Japan as a high school exchange student in Inuyama, a historic castle town in Aichi. My love for Japan began early—sparked by childhood games like Pokémon that were released in Japanese before English. That early curiosity grew into a lifelong passion for Japanese language, culture, and history. I hold an N2 on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, a degree in Asian Studies from a Tokyo university, and I graduated from the Japan Visual Media Translation Academy. I’ve visited all 47 prefectures and explored a wide range of historical sites, shrines, and castles throughout the country. My background in Japanese history helps me provide context that brings depth and meaning to the places we visit—whether it's understanding a centuries-old temple in Kyoto, the story behind a castle ruin, or uncovering the historical layers of a Tokyo neighborhood. If you’re planning to explore Tokyo, here are some tour options to consider: One day in Tokyo? The Ginza Line Tour offers a great introduction to the city’s highlights. Two days? Pair the East Tokyo Tour and West Tokyo Tour to get a well-rounded experience. Interested in anime? The Anime Tour is flexible and can be tailored to match your specific interests. For those looking to go beyond the city, I also offer day trips to Nikko, Kamakura, and other nearby destinations. Full-Day Tour: 40,000 yen (8 hours) Full-Day Tour Outside of Tokyo: 40,000 yen + transportation Feel free to get in touch to plan a tour that fits your interests and travel plans.

Rina K.
Hi I'm Rina. Thank you for your interest, and welcome to Japan. I was born and raised in Osaka, and I’m truly excited to show you both the city’s famous landmarks and its hidden gems. Osaka is full of incredible food and fun places to explore. I’m always thinking about how to design routes that feel comfortable for each guest and what kind of scenery will make them fall in love with this city. Seeing guests react with surprise and joy to the little moments in everyday Osaka is one of the most rewarding parts of guiding. My hope is simple: I want you to enjoy Osaka with ease and leave feeling even more connected to this place. I’m confident in my stamina — I’ve guided an eight‑hour tour without lunch — but I also offer slow‑paced, relaxing tours. Together, we’ll create a plan that matches your interests and energy level so you can enjoy the day without stress. You can count on me for the best timing to avoid crowds, truly delicious local spots, and places only Osaka residents know. My goal is to give you a warm, memorable experience that makes you think, “I want to come back to Osaka again.” I look forward to guiding you through an Osaka you’ll want to return to.

Naomi K.
Hello, I’m Naomi, a certified guide. I live in the peaceful countryside of Hiroshima, where I am a rice farmer, writer, and mother of three. Our family resides in a 200-year-old traditional farmhouse, surrounded by nature and history. I began learning English again at the age of 40, and although I don’t have much overseas experience, guiding visitors has become one of my greatest joys. Sharing Japan through my own eyes makes every encounter exciting and meaningful. I love welcoming people and building connections across cultures. If my hospitality can add a special touch to your journey in Japan, it would bring me great happiness. I look forward to meeting you—thank you!

Miyu F.
My name is Miyu. I have been a Nationally Licensed Guide Interpreter since 2009. I began my career as a tourist guide last year after working as a public servant for nearly four decades. I worked in the Atomic Bomb Survivors Support Division for 12 years until I retired from the local government, and I continue to interact with Hibakusha. Therefore, I have a lot of knowledge about A-bomb survivors, the reconstruction of Hiroshima, and the effects of radiation on the human body, which I can correctly convey to inbound visitors. I have experience in tea ceremonies and calligraphy and am especially good at guiding visitors through tea ceremony experiences. I love to watch baseball games, so I enjoy talking about them with guests from countries where they are popular. I am a volunteer medical interpreter and can respond to visitors' sudden health problems.

Kahori M.
Hi, I'm Kahori, a nationally licensed guide interpreter, and have just started working with GoWithGuide! I’m delighted to show people around this area. For the past almost 10 years, I have mainly guided foreign medical professionals around Hiroshima City and Miyajima, gaining a deep understanding of the effects of radiation and the support for A-bomb survivors. Hiroshima is a city of rivers and the sea. Along the rivers Cherry trees line, and the calm Seto Inland Sea, dotted with islands, creates a stunning landscape. Also, the sea has many islands called "art islands" which have fantastic arts relating to the art festival "Setoushi Triennale". In addition to our two World Heritage Sites, this area is rich in attractive resources. I hope many of you will come and experience this fascinating land. Personally, I am very passionate about modern art and enjoy sports like stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) on our rivers. I look forward to meeting you, interacting with you, and also, learning from you!

Steve R.
Hello! I'm Steve and I’m originally from Sydney, Australia, but I’ve lived in Kumamoto City for the past 28 years. I hold a Gold license. I’d love to take you on a tour of some of the region’s most historic and stunning sites. I took my profile picture on the balcony of my home, which sits high on a hill, offering great views of the city both day and night, with majestic mountain ranges in the distance. I was a school teacher here for 25 years, starting in Japanese public schools before transitioning to an American institution. I understand that when traveling abroad, many people prefer a local tour guide. While I wasn’t born in Japan, after nearly three decades here, I consider myself as local as it gets! Not only can I share insights about the local culture, but I can also offer a unique perspective as a foreigner who has grown to love this country as my own. With our comfortable 4x4 full leather interior SUV, we’ll explore hidden gems that typical tour buses can’t reach, making your experience even more special. On our way to the sites, I’ll describe anything that catches your eye so you don’t miss a thing. I know that returning back from a great trip can feel like the end of something special, so if there’s anything I can do to make the ride more enjoyable, just let me know. On the way back, feel free to play any music you like on the BOSE sound system in the car.

Hi! I am Kazue. I am from Fukuoka and live in the central city. I spent almost 20 years traveling around the world as a cabin attendant. Meeting different people, different cultures and eating local food were best things in my career. This experience definitely widened my perspective and will help me in some way when I work as a guide. Since I spent half my life outside of Japan, I noticed our culture and traditions are very unique and became more interested in historical sites in Japan. For my personal life, I am a mom of twins. It is still a hard work but I am enjoying a lot with them. We take them around Kyushu whenever possible for their fun and experience. We all love traveling after all. I am looking forward to showing you around our hometown soon!

After exploring, I’d be happy to introduce you to some of the best local restaurants, where you can enjoy Sushi, Tempura, Sukiyaki, Ramen, Teppanyaki, and more. Let’s make unforgettable memories together in Fukuoka! Drawing on my background in international projects and leadership positions, I strive to provide tours that are both enjoyable and insightful for my guests." Hi there! I’m Armand. Living in Nagasaki since 2016. I am living a most relaxing life on my permaculture homestead in the hills of Nagasaki, where you get the best views in Japan. I love my town. As a dancer and actor I love telling stories too. And there are so many great stories to share about all the interesting people that once dwelled in this adventurous town full of historical intrigues. Want to experience the rich Nagasaki culture? Eat the freshest fish of Japan? Make the most beautiful photos of hidden treasures and landscapes? Come and explore the town together with me. I’ve made it my mission to get to know everything there is to know about this place.

Yukihiro (Hero)行博
Hello, everyone!! My name is Yukihiro(行博), call me "HERO". I'm eager to introduce this unique country, Japan to foreign guests. I am not a professional interpreter. I have retired from Japan Ground Self-Defense Force(JGSDF=Japanese Army) on March 2018. I have spent most of my career as a Army NCO(Non-commissioned officer) . My job experiences are only in the military, but there are variety of specialties, so I didn't feel boredom. I lived in many places all over Japan, such as Hokkaido 10years, Chiba 15years, Okinawa 8years and more places. I am working for the half of month as a tour-conductor in Okinawa Japan. Rest of month, I live in Nagasaki Prefecture, and work as a Triple Lights interpreter tour guide. 我一邊在沖繩當旅遊服務員大概半個月,一邊在九州長崎當Triple Lights的翻譯導游工作剩餘的月。 I am registered as a Okinawa prefectural interpreter tour guide (English & Chinese), but don't have a whole Japan area certification. So I am brushing my skill up to get it. 我登記了沖繩縣的地域翻譯導遊(英/中文),可是沒有全國的。所以為了獲得全國導遊資格,我正在繼續學外語。 I speak English, Chinese (simplify & traditional) , no problem to guide you, not like a native though. 我會說英語和中文(簡/繁),作為您的導游沒問題,沒有母語的人那麼好。

Hi! I'm Sho! I live in the center of Nagasaki city and work as a YouTuber, podcaster, and tour guide specializing in sharing the charms of Nagasaki. Actually, I was born and raised in Yokohama, near Tokyo, and worked for about 5 years in Tokyo. However, I fell in love with the culture and history of Nagasaki and moved here in 2020. Nagasaki has a rich history of international exchange and friendship, established about 450 years ago as an international trading port in Japan. Since then, many people from all over the world with diverse cultures and values have visited this city. I love these stories and histories of Nagasaki. Nagasaki is often associated with the sad history of the atomic bomb, which is, of course, an important part of this city's history, but Nagasaki has much more than that. I'm looking forward to introducing you to the many charms of Nagasaki!

Hi, I’m glad you found my page! I’m a local guide based in Kyushu who loves sharing the region’s history, food, and landscapes in a relaxed and friendly way. Think of me as someone who can make your trip comfortable and memorable, while keeping things easygoing and fun. I began guiding to share the history, scenery, and food of my home with visitors from around the world. Before this, I worked in luxury retail, where I learned how important details and genuine hospitality are. Now I bring that same spirit to my tours, making sure every guest feels comfortable, cared for, and free to enjoy their journey. I specialize in private car tours around Kyushu, so you don’t have to worry about train schedules or carrying luggage. We can stop where you like, take things at your own pace, and enjoy the scenery along the way. Onboard you’ll have free Wi-Fi, music, and a comfortable ride—perfect for families, couples, or friends who want both convenience and a touch of luxury. Some of my favorite places to share are: Nagasaki: Peace Park, Atomic Bomb Museum, and the city’s cultural blend Fukuoka: Dazaifu Shrine, city highlights, and Yanagawa’s river cruise with eel dishes Kumamoto: Mt. Aso’s volcanic views, Kumamoto Castle, and Kurokawa Onsen Oita: Hita’s riverside town, plus Beppu and Yufuin hot springs Saga: Arita’s ceramics and the Yoshinogari ancient site Takachiho Gorge: A mystical canyon tied to Japanese legends What I enjoy most is helping guests discover both famous sights and hidden corners of Kyushu, while keeping the experience comfortable and stress-free. Whether you’re drawn to culture, food, history, or beautiful scenery, I can adjust the plan to match your style. I’d love to share my part of Japan with you and create memories that last long after your trip. If you have any questions or requests, please feel free to send me a message. I look forward to welcoming you to Kyushu and showing you what makes this region so special!

“The Perfect Stress-Free Start to Our Japan Journey”
Atsushi was the perfect guide for our very first day of touring in Japan. Navigating a new country can be daunting, but he was waiting for us in the lobby of our Yokohama hotel which immediately provided for a stress-free day. As we were headed to Kyoto at the end of the day he helped with our luggage storage at Yokohama station so we could travel 'unburdened' to Kamakura. His deep knowledge of the Samurai era and the history of the Great Buddha at Kotoku-in was fascinating. From historical insights to helping us navigate the Shinkansen gates and picking out the best "ekiben" for our train ride to Kyoto, Atsushi ensured our first day was seamless and memorable. We couldn't have asked for a better start to our trip!

“Easy going gentleman and he took photos of us!”
I reached out to Shu because I wanted help exploring Tokyo. I had done some research before the trip, but it still felt overwhelming. I didn’t want to spend my time trying to figure out the subway system or deciding which restaurants to eat at. Shu took all of that stress away and allowed the two of us to simply enjoy the city. He explained how the subway system works and shared local traditions when it comes to dining and visiting temples. He also customized our itinerary to fit exactly what we wanted to experience. He met us at our hotel right on time and even brought along his SLR camera to photograph our day. From there, we were off to explore. I will definitely be recommending him to all of my friends.

“Custom tour for 15-year-old birthday ”
We had an amazing time with Shu! He reached out a few days before our tour to confirm our meeting location and time, and he was already there and found us before I even had a chance to message that we’d arrived. After spending nearly a week in Tokyo, we wanted to do something different to celebrate our son’s birthday—and Shu absolutely delivered! He took us to spots and attractions we hadn’t experienced yet, including an arcade we never would have discovered on our own. He then brought us to what will surely be the dining highlight of our entire trip. To top it all off, he joined us for an hour of karaoke, drinks, and dessert to end the night. Thank you for making our son’s birthday one he will always remember!

Thank you so much for writing such a wonderful review. I was truly honored to meet your family, and it was a real joy to celebrate your son’s birthday. Singing karaoke together, especially 'STAY WITH ME,' became a really special memory for me as well. Please feel free to reach out if you come to Japan again. Please give my regards to your two sons and your wife.
