About Tour Guide Shusaku M.

My name is Shusaku. I was born and raised in Osaka, where I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the beautiful landscapes and rich culture of the region.

During my travels to 10 different countries, I came to realize the importance of listening to the locals to truly understand the culture and charm of a place. This experience taught me that local knowledge and experiences are invaluable in building a deeper understanding and connection while traveling.

In my tours, I make it a point to not only showcase the popular tourist destinations but also to share insights into the everyday lives of locals and the culture of the region. By incorporating stories and knowledge from locals, I aim to provide a more enriching travel experience.

My mission in life is to foster a deeper understanding of the world through travel and to build connections with people from different backgrounds. I look forward to creating unforgettable memories and sharing new discoveries with all of you!

Halloween Japan 2024 Photo Shoot

The moment we met Shusaku, at the entrance of the Hilton Tokyo Bay Hotel, he was there to assist us with all our needs and had a beautiful color printed Halloween Japan 2024 Photoshoot itinerary for me… (Very Cool) .... Then taking our luggage, locating our driver and jumping right in and started taking our first Halloween Japan 2024 photos at Hilton Tokyo Bay Hotel We could feel a new friendship starting with Shusaku…The driver and Shusaku, worked great together, making sure to drop us off at areas we can easily get to each location… Firstly, Tokyo Dome, unfortunately I was feeling well, maybe some motion sickness Shusaku, was very professional, knowing we were in a private hotel area… he made sure we were waiting in a not so visible area being in full costume… Then Sho went to looks for water for me, couldn’t find a store and ended up bringing me cups of cold water… That was the beginning of a great friendship We then made it to our first location for a photo shoot, (Tokyo Dome) Shusaku was able to capture everything I was hoping for and more… Then he goes and buys us drinks before leaving for Tokyo Tower for another great Halloween Japan photo shoot But it was at Odaiba Park, When Shusaku really went to work… Helping us take photos with the locals and visitors, all waiting in line to have a photo taken with us… Sho was absolutely great with everyone, especially the children… That made our day… Being a celebrity for a day… Personal Photographer and Private driver and all our fans Aloha Sho, Many Mahalos for all your help, kindness, and special friendship I can't thank you and the driver enough for all you did for Pari, and I… Pari and I felt so blessed to have you as our guide... Because you have such a great personality and were always attentive to all our needs and more Also, you and the driver worked so well together Making our Halloween Japan 2024 Photo Shoot the experience of a lifetime… Mahalo and Aloha

Thank you so much for joining the tour the other day. It was an honor to meet you all. Your Deadpool costume was amazing—the quality was top-notch, and there was always a line of people wanting to take pictures with you. Everything about it was such a wonderful memory. Please let me know the next time you visit Japan. I’m looking forward to seeing you again. Thank you so much!

An exceptional personalised tour of Akihabara!

Shu is a delightful guide, who gave us a tour of Akihabara that was an absolute joy, tailored especially to our interests. His manner put us at ease right from the start, and he is sincere and kind. This is our first trip to Japan, and as well as the big sights, we are also seeking experiences that relate to some of the pop-culture we've enjoyed before coming here. Shu went out of his way to plan a tour that included locations from an anime we've enjoyed, 'Stein's Gate', and it was an absolute thrill to see them in real life. There were so many highlights I can't list them all, but this included a particular bridge, a small (and very charming) local shrine, and lunch at a restaurant one of the main characters ate at regularly - which also gave us the chance to eat excellent, authentic local food. Delicious! I couldn't have understood the ordering system and would have been unable to try this without Shu's help. Shu also helped me find an anime figurine from a different favourite anime of mine, which I could never have found it on my own in the midst of the myriad shops in Akihabara. Naturally, Shu also explained the overall sights in the area, and helped us buy items at other shops, which was all fascinating and fun. He also ensured we made it to our next, ticketed, attraction on time, via the trains. I feel very fortunate to have had Shu guide us today, and I thoroughly recommend him, especially if you have an interest in otaku culture or related things. Thank you for an exceptional tour, Shu!

My name is Kumiko. I used to live in New York and London and worked for US companies for many years. Based on my experience, I recognize that Japan is a fascinating country, but at the same time, it is unique in many ways. Tokyo, as the capital of Japan, is a unique and diverse mix of cutting-edge technology, traditional culture, and Western influences. As an art lover, I am happy to show you many galleries in Tokyo. I received a Certificate of Art Business Masterclass from Christie's. As a guide, I'd like to explain to my guests about Japanese culture as well as background and introduce popular places and food. I think most visitors coming to Japan are hoping both to enjoy themselves and also have a meaningful encounter with a different culture. I am looking forward to helping you explore my city and enjoy everything it has to offer.

I came to Japan in 1998, intending to stay a few months, but enjoying Japan, I never left. I was intrigued by the history, culture, language, and food. And the fascination and excitement of exploring and learning new things about Japan still exists with me today. The variety and choices of things to do and places to go can be overwhelming. I can offer you suggestions and a unique perspective on Japan. I can share local knowledge about things often missed. Fluent in Japanese with a master's degree in Japanese Studies and living in Japan for over 20 years, I can be your guide.
