Kento's live bar was one of the first places that opened
when the wave of 1950s nostalgia hit Japan in the 1980s;
it has even been credited with instigating the craze. This is the
place to go if you feel like bopping the night away to 1950s and
1960s songs played by live bands. Even though there's hardly room
to dance, the largely over-30 Japanese audience starts twisting
in the aisles as the night wears on.
