We visited Sugimotodera Temple, the oldest temple in Kamakura yesterday. Established in 734. it has moss-covered stone stairs as you can in the pictures. Although I cannot show you here, inside the mail hall sit several Buddhist statues. After taking off your shoes and entering into the dim hall, you can get very close to them.
Highly recommed place although a bit far from the Kamakura Station.
