This is a half day tour which you can either start in the morning or the afternoon. We’ll start the tour with a visit to the south of Siem Reap to see the Tonle Sap Lake which is known as the Great Lake in English. After visiting the Tonle Sap, we’ll then go to the Artisan’s d’Angkor to see how local crafts are made using traditional methods.
At your hotel
This tour will start depending on your preference (recommend either from 8:00am or from 2:00pm). We will drive to see the floating village at Chong Kneas, just to the south of Siem Reap town. Our guide will take you on a boat trip to pass through the floating village where many Cambodian and ethnic Vietnamese families are living their lives on the water. You can see how they go about their daily lives with markets, schools, clinics and restaurants all floating on top of the water.
We’ll then head back to Siem Reap to visit Artisans d’Angkor. Here, you can see how local Cambodians have revived many ancient methods for creating arts and crafts including statues, silk and other things. This is one of the most popular attractions in Siem Reap.
