This tour will take you on a historical and cultural tour of Siem Reap town. You’ll see the Wat Thmei killing fields, the war museum, a local Buddhist temple, At 8:30am, we will leave and visit Wat Thmey killing field, displaying the skulls of Khmer rouge victims. Then, we continue to Cambodia War Museum, the collections of weaponry during Cambodia civil war. We also visit Wat Preah Prom Rath, Psar Chas and Artisan d’Angkor to see the real workshop of Khmer arts.

Buddhist pagoda called Wat Thmey
After breakfast at your hotel, we’ll come and pick you up around 8:30 o’clock in the morning. We’ll come and get you in a tuk tuk, and take you to visit the local Buddhist pagoda called Wat Thmey. Here, you will see the Siem Reap killing fields. You can learn about the atrocities which occurred during the brutal Khmer Rouge regime.
Cambodia War Museum
Then, we will go to visit the Cambodia War Museum. You can learn about the the civil war and other important aspects of recent Khmer history. The War Museum has a unique collection of weaponry, mostly located outside below a mango tree plantation. The collection was gathered since 1999 from areas where fighting took place; like Anlong Veng, Siem Reap and Odor Meanchey. It is a mix of Chinese, U.S. and Soviet hardware, but mostly Russian tanks and assault weapons. Some of these weapons have even seen action during World War II.
Wat Preah Prohm Rath
We’ll then go to visit another Buddhist pagoda in the town centre call Wat Preah Prohm Rath. Where you can learn how Buddhism influence on Cambodians for centuries.
Old Market (Psar Chas)
We’ll then take you to visit the Old Market (Psar Chas) so you can see a local market and do some souvenir shopping. The market is the most tourist attractive places in town. It sells from fresh vegetable, fishes, clothes, souvenir and more to see and experience the local life of the people.
Artisans d’Angkor
Finally, we’ll take you to the popular Artisans d’Angkor so you can see how they’ve revived local crafts and even buy yourself a gift or two. After the Covid 19 pandemic worldwide, Artisan has just recently restart it productions but in a limited items only and showing shop.
