If you wish you can take the cable car ($) to the summit of the falls, to visit the Manoir Montmorency, its interpretation centre, or cross the suspension bridge.
By taking the Avenue Royale also called Route de la Nouvelle-France, the oldest road that could accommodate wheeled vehicles in the region dating from the late 17 century (1683), you will succumb to the charm of the beautiful landscapes of the Quebec countryside. Pilgrims have travelled this way for years to the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, a world-famous pilgrimage site. This sanctuary, the most famous in North America, whose history began in 1658, welcomes every year more than a million pilgrims from all over the world.

If you have more time then you will have the opportunity to explore the villages of St-Laurent, St-Jean, Ste-Famille and St-Pierre founded in 1661 and 1679. You may visit one of the many art galleries on the island, an old flour mill, a manor house dating from the French regime ($), a rural church built in the XVIII century, a sugar shack ($), a vineyard ($)... or stop at one of the many kiosks along the way, to taste the local delicacies such as wines, ciders, chocolates, cheeses, maple products, fruits and vegetables...
