Day 1 the Panda Breeding and Research Center and an in-depth explore of Chengdu

In the morning, you will be picked up at your hotel and be transferred to the Panda Breeding and Research Center, a dwelling home to over 100 giant pandas. We will arrive here at about 9:00 a.m. when most of them are active. It is a perfect time to observe their living habits when they do different things--eating, snoozing, tumbling and climbing trees. There are also panda kindergartens and nursery rooms, where you can see many adorable baby pandas.

Day 1 An In-depth Explore of Chengdu

Afterwards, let’s enjoy a relaxing afternoon in Chengdu. The People’s Park is a good choice for you to visit as it is an epitome of Chengdu’s laid-back atmosphere. Have your ears cleaned or take a neck massage as Chengdu people usually do. When the aroma of fresh tea wafted toward you, don’t hesitate to order a cup of tea. Sitting down on a cane chair and sipping the hot tea, you can choose to take a nap or watch local people indulging themselves in playing mahjong and having casual chats. In addition, you can also have a look of the “matchmaking fair”, where you will see some interesting scenes that may only happen in Chengdu: desperate parents are posting messages to look for a partner for their unmarried sons and daughters.

Day 2 Leshan Giant Buddha

Make our way to Leshan Giant Buddha (approximately 2 hours). Leshan Giant Buddha enjoys a total height of 71 meters and boasts the reputation of the “NO.1 Buddha under Heaven”. It is constructed to bless the boatmen and enjoys a history of over 1,300 years. Besides climbing to the mountain top to have a closer look of the Giant Buddha, you can also go on a cruise to catch a panoramic view of the majestic Buddha statue. Then, let’s enjoy a delicious meal in Leshang. Afterwards, your tour guide will show you around and you can experience the lifestyle of locals.

Ending Point
