Baoding Mountain

It takes around one and a half hours to drive from downtown Chongqing to Baoding Mountain of the Dazu Rock Carvings.

As the core highlight of the Dazu Rock Carvings, Baoding Mountain is a precious UNESCO World Heritage Site. It perfectly integrates Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism, and stands as a masterpiece of Chinese grotto art with high historical and artistic value. We will arrange around two hours here, accompanied by a professional guide to interpret the profound cultural stories behind the exquisite stone carvings.

Beishan Mountain

Widely known as the birthplace of the Dazu Rock Carvings, Beishan Grottoes enjoys extraordinary historical value in local grotto culture. First carved in the late Tang Dynasty, its cliff statues show a gentle and elegant artistic style, laying the original foundation for the later flourishing Dazu stone carvings. Before we start the tour here, we will take a short break and prepare light meals for you to relax and refresh. We will spend around one and a half hours exploring the ancient grottoes and feel its unique historical features.

Baoding Mountain and Beishan Mountain are about a 20-minute drive apart.
