Meeting Point
Plaza San blas
- Dear friends, We have a meeting point where we can begin our adventure together. However, if you prefer, I can arrange transportation and pick you up directly from your hotel for a small additional fee. Alternatively, you may use a ride-sharing app or taxi service if that is more convenient for you, and we can simply meet at the designated meeting point. The same applies for the return. After the tour, you are welcome to stay longer and enjoy Quito’s beautiful Historic Center at your own pace, or I can help arrange transportation back to your hotel for a small additional fee. Please let me know which option works best for you. I look forward to showing you the best of Quito!
Local Market
At this vibrant local market, we’ll enjoy a variety of traditional Ecuadorian dishes, exotic fruits, and refreshing local drinks. As we explore, you’ll discover the flavors that are part of everyday life in Quito.
We’ll also learn about fascinating traditions that are still alive today, including the famous spiritual cleansing rituals known as limpias. Walking through the market, you’ll see how it is organized, meet local vendors, and experience the authentic atmosphere where residents shop, eat, and connect with their community.
Archbishop’s Palace
At the Archbishop’s Palace, we will taste some of Quito’s most beloved traditional sweets and enjoy a unique, healthy artisanal ice cream made with natural ingredients. As we explore this beautiful colonial building, you’ll admire its elegant architecture, charming courtyards, and rich history, making it one of the most picturesque and culturally significant landmarks in Quito’s Historic Center.
Extra food and Chocolate
We will continue tasting traditional food from the Andean region and enjoying the authentic flavors of Ecuador. We will also have the opportunity to learn more about one of Ecuador’s most important export products: cacao, the ingredient used to create some of the finest chocolate in the world.
We will enjoy a chocolate tasting experience, and with that we will conclude our food tour. Throughout the day, we will carefully explore a variety of local dishes and unique flavors, finishing on a sweet note with a delicious dessert. Our goal is to give you the best possible culinary experience and a true taste of Ecuadorian culture.
Ending Point
Plaza grande (independence square) located in the heart of Quito.

Tour Important Information
Dear friends,
Please remember that we can either meet at the designated meeting point or arrange to pick you up from your hotel and travel together to our first stop, which will be a local market.
This will be a walking tour through the Historic Center, where we will share local history, culture, and, of course, delicious traditional food.
For your comfort, I recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes, bringing a reusable water bottle, a hat, sunscreen, and some cash for any personal purchases or extra expenses you may wish to have during the day.
Please note that all tastings mentioned in the itinerary are already included in the tour price, so there is no need to pay extra for any of the food tastings. I recommend carrying only a small amount of cash, as we will be walking around the city center and you may only need it for optional personal purchases.
I look forward to sharing this wonderful culinary experience with you!
We could begin around 8:00 AM, allowing us to enjoy the local market at its liveliest and taste many traditional foods throughout the morning.
If an early start is not convenient, we can also begin before lunchtime, perhaps around 11:00 AM.
The schedule is completely flexible and can be adjusted to your preferences.

“Amazing tour of Quito's historical area and the moddle of thr world museum ”
Pamela was an outstanding guide in Quito. She picked us up promptly from our hotel and stayed in clear, consistent communication throughout the entire experience, which made everything seamless. She was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and patient, and went out of her way to tailor the tour exactly to what we wanted. Her itinerary was perfectly balanced—exploring the historic center, a local market, and the fun, interactive Intiñán Museum—while also providing helpful, practical advice along the way. We felt well taken care of from start to finish. Highly recommend touring with Pamela!
