Pintag Town
The first official stop, this rural area of Quito called Pintag is famous because of agriculture and cattle.
Laguna Secas
From this lookout it's possible to appreciate the massive lava spill produced centuries ago by Antisana Volcano, this amazing geological area has a lagoon too.
Condors Nests Lookouts
The condor has been a sacred bird for centuries. Our ancestors believed it was a messenger between the creators and us. During the Colonial Period, Spanish Conquerors, unfamiliar with the condor, thought it hunted sheep, cows, and horses, but it's actually a vulture. Sadly, this iconic bird is now endangered. In and around Antisana National Park, you can spot some of these majestic creatures.
Antisana National Park
Upon arrival at this protected area, notice the change in vegetation from cattle-grazed lands to the unique Páramo ecosystem, shared with Colombia, Peru, and Bolivia. This ecosystem absorbs water from rain, clouds, and dew, slowly releasing it during dry seasons. Here, you'll find small bushes with flowers, medicinal plants, and wildlife such as hummingbirds, bees, and potentially small mammals like rabbits, Andean wolves, and white-tailed deer. With luck, you might even spot bears or pumas. We'll visit La Mica Lagoon, a haven for birdwatching, with Antisana Volcano and its glacier visible in the distance on clear days.

Hi there! I'm a passionate tour guide and explorer with nearly 15 years of experience working on cultural projects, museums, and heritage spaces in Quito and Ecuador. Over the years, I’ve explored mountains, trails, and hidden routes leading to the Coast and the Amazon—by 4x4, bike, public transport, or even on foot! Living in the Central Andes has allowed me to connect deeply with indigenous communities and nature.
Besides classic tours like Otavalo, Mitad del Mundo, Quilotoa, Papallacta, Mindo and more I also offer unique journeys with a fresh perspective, taking you beyond the ordinary into stunning, lesser-known landscapes. Traveling is about experiencing, not just visiting.

“Andrea is a dream guide! ”
Andrea and her driver, Pablo, vastly exceeded our expectations at every turn (and there are LOTS of turns on these windy roads). They are both incredibly knowledgeable, intuitive, warm, and connected to both the place and the people we visited and to our experience as their guests. I was on the fence about the investment, but the value add vastly exceeded the cost. We were able to experience the tourist sites, culture, cuisine, and history more deeply because of Andrea and Pablo’s guidance. Oh and she is an amazing photographer, so it looks like we hired a pro to capture our vacation. Major bonus! We are a couple traveling with two teen children and they somehow managed to create a trip that was perfect for all of us, individually and collectively- constantly adapting the journey for our needs. We can’t wait to travel with them again.

Thank you so much! Those days were truly special for us too — we learned a lot from you y hablamos un poco de español también, ¿verdad? :) I’m so happy you enjoyed the trip! You’re always welcome back to Ecuador — there’s still so much beauty to discover here. Thanks for recommending us to future travelers! Warm regards, Andrea Pablo says Hi!!! :)
