Pichincha volcano hiking tour to acclimate before climbing Cotopaxi.
To acclimatize our body before climbing mountains like Cotopaxi or Chimborazo, this is the best option, 8 hours of walking back and forth from the crater of the Pichincha volcano.
We can start our walk very early even before the cable car "TELEFERICO " opens its doors since we take the old route to go up by vehicle. one hours driving and enjoying amazing views of the city.
On the way back we can go down by cable car where we will take the vehicle to return to the hotel.

Meeting Point
Your hotel, apartment, house.
- I will pick you up from your hotel, apartment or home. I will ask for you to front desk . I will be at the lobby.
Walk to the peak of the mountain.
Cable car station is the place to start this walk, there are more than 10 km ( 6.3 miles) from this point to get to the peak of this volcano. Beautiful landscapes will appears during this trip.
Birds such as hummingbirds will be our guards in this journey.
Temperature will change every minute , sunny , windy, rainy and cloudy .
Pichincha volcano, peak of the mountain.
Later of a 4 hours walk we get to the top of this mountain ( 4784 masl). If the day helps We can have a great view of some other volcanoes.
It is the place Where We have to be very careful with rocks that can fall down.
Once We recover energy We start to walk back to the cable car station.
We could be walking back 4 hours.
Cable car
We ride a cable car from 4000 masl. up to 3000 masl.
We will have a car waiting for us there to bring us to our hotel .
