National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (Including the Royal Mummies Hall)

Our first stop is the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization. Here, we’ll explore artifacts from the Ancient Egyptian, Greco-Roman, Coptic, and Islamic periods before visiting the Royal Mummies Hall, where you’ll see the mummies of some of Egypt’s greatest kings.

Old Cairo(Coptic cairo)

Our second stop is Old Cairo, where we’ll visit the Hanging Church, the Church of Saints Sergius and Bacchus (Abu Serga), the Cave Church, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue. The Hanging Church and Abu Serga Church are among the most important churches in Egypt and are associated with significant events and traditions in Christian history. We’ll also visit the Cave Church, where the Holy Family is believed to have stayed during their journey into Egypt, making it one of the country’s most important Christian pilgrimage sites.

Optional Lunch

Enjoy an optional lunch at a traditional Egyptian restaurant overlooking Ain El Seera Lake before we continue our tour.

Saladin Citadel

Our final stop is the Saladin Citadel, one of Cairo’s most important Islamic landmarks. We’ll visit the Mosque of Al-Nasir Muhammad and the Ottoman-style Mosque of Muhammad Ali, then learn about the Citadel’s history and its role as the seat of government for centuries. Before we leave, we’ll enjoy panoramic views of Cairo from the Citadel.
