Saqqara Necropolis

We will explore the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the world’s first pyramid and the first large stone structure in history.

Also, we will visit the Pyramid of King Unas, the first pyramid in history to contain the Pyramid Texts, the oldest religious texts ever discovered inside a royal tomb, with beautifully preserved blue color inside.

Then, continue to the Tomb of Princess Idut, famous for its stunning scenes of daily life, fishing, and hunting, with incredibly detailed and colorful wall paintings which are raised reliefs that are still remarkably vivid.

Dahshur Pyramids

Visiting the Bent Pyramid, one of the most unique pyramids in Egypt showing early architectural experiments.

Then, the Red Pyramid, the first successful true pyramid in history.

You will be able to enter both pyramids freely, as entrance is included in the ticket, giving you a rare chance to explore the interiors without any extra fees.

Lunch (optional)

Enjoy a tasty and clean local Egyptian meal in a very good restaurant.

Also, vegeterian options are available upon request.

Memphis

In Memphis, Egypt’s first capital—just as Italy cannot be mentioned without Rome, Egypt cannot be mentioned without Memphis.

We will see the colossal statue of King Ramesses II and the remains of one of the greatest cities of the ancient world. Memphis was not only the first capital of unified Egypt, but also the political and religious heart where the spiritual identity of ancient Egypt began to take shape.

Sarah planned and organized a 4-day tour for us. We communicated in English. Sarah responds very promptly and reliably. She did an excellent job of incorporating our special requests. Everything was perfect. Once we arrived in Cairo, we had a young and absolutely wonderful tour guide named Youssef. He accompanied us for all four days and explained everything to us in German. Every day, we went on tours in a comfortable car with very friendly drivers. Youssef was also very considerate of our three children, so they really enjoyed the excursions. Everything was perfect, and we had some wonderful, eventful days together with Youssef in Cairo. Thank you so much for everything!

As I am interested in history, Sarah helped me coordinate a custom all-day visit to Saqqara and Dashur featuring the sites that I had requested. After months of detailed planning, due to events out of her control, she was unfortunately unable to guide the tour that day. Sarah arranged for an exprienced Egyptologist and excellent guide to cover for her. Ibrahim led us through the detailed itinerary, provided a wealth of information, took us to a tomb not on my itinerary but one he thought i needed to see based on my interests, and ensured we stayed on schedule.
