At night, it completely transforms into a glowing open-air gallery, beautifully framing that magnificent 90-ton ancient obelisk and the ram-headed sphinxes at its center. It’s the perfect, illuminated gateway to start our journey from modern Egypt back into the ancient past!

ow, follow me right this way into Abu Tarek—the absolute kingdom of Koshary! This world-famous, multi-story landmark is a bustling Cairo institution where we are going to feast on Egypt’s legendary national dish. Watch how they masterfully layer the pasta, rice, lentils, and chickpeas before smothering it in that incredible spiced tomato sauce and crispy fried onions. It’s fast, loud, fiercely authentic, and the exact delicious energy boost we need before we head deep into ancient El Muizz Street!

Entry Tickets to Interior Monument Museums: While walking and admiring the spectacular illuminated facades along El Muizz Street is completely free, entry tickets to go inside specific indoor monuments, complexes, or museums that charge an evening admission fee are not covered.

Return Transportation to Your Hotel: A personal pickup from your hotel lobby is fully included to get your tour started seamlessly, but drop-off transportation at the end of the evening walk is not included. (I will be happy to help you hail a trusted local taxi or arrange an Uber back to your accommodation at the end of our route).

Extra Food and Personal Purchases: Any additional snacks, souvenirs, traditional crafts, or extra shopping you choose to purchase along the vibrant markets and historic streets are your own responsibility.

Tipping / Gratuities: Customary tips for the restaurant staff, local hosts, and your tour guide are not included in the booking price and are completely at your personal discretion.
